Here's what's being added to Xbox Game Pass today, April 27th:

Wow that Benedict Fox game looks pretty good. It's not showing up for me on game pass. Maybe it just hasn't rolled out to Australia yet?
@ghostmutt14 finding the same issue
Weird that there are no reviews at all for Benedict Fox. I try not to read too much into the timing of reviews but zero at launch for a game with so much marketing feels suspect.
Yoiks I just tried BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle and it has some of the ugliest sprite scaling I've seen in years. It looks to be completely un filtered linear scaling making it look really pixelated in a very ugly way. What a shame as it completely ruins the beautiful artwork 😩
Why is The Last Case of Benedict Fox not even showing up at all on Gamepass or even in the store? Even with time zone differences, shouldn't you at least be able to see it somewhere?
@ghostmutt14 @NintendoByNature @TheCrafter1578 I was having the same thing did console restart and it showed up and I'm grabbing it now. Worth a shot as I think it might be something to do with the games pass app being a cached and a restart forces it to update.
@Chuffer yep. All good now. I'm Downloading it when I get home.
Just tried the last case of Benedict Fox...it runs like garbage with constant stuttering regardless of performance or quality mode. Not even VRR can smooth out the frame rate. What the heck is going on Xbox at the moment everything is releasing with some sort of technical issue.
@Chuffer Man, u serious? That’s a bummer. Was so hyped for this.
@ZeroOverOne unfortunately yes. I notice stutters more than most people so you may be ok with it. I find stutter to be unforgivable on side scrolling games though, it gives me a headache and completely ruins the experience for me.
I couldn't hack the framerate either will download it again after a patch or two.
@Chuffer Steam has a ton of negative reviews complaining about performance so it isn’t just Xbox. PC version also apparently had a lot of issues. Just sounds like a case of not being ready for release.
@awp69 I knew there was something up with this game.
@awp69 I did see the steam reviews after trying Xbox for a comparison, looks like a very rough launch.
Don't get me wrong I'm not hating on just xbox, although lately MS seem to be making it very hard to like it. I'm just at a complete loss as to whats going on with gaming these last couple of years.
I'm going to make myself sound old now by saying that i've been playing games for about 30 years now. In all that time, I don't remember any period where so many things have released unfinished or broken in some way as the last couple of years.
I've gone from thinking I hope so and so game has good gameplay to I hope it actually just runs properly.
It sucks because I really was looking forward to this game. If something is in that bad of shape, just delay it. Hurts more to have negative impressions off the bat than a delay would, especially for an indie game:
I’m playing it on my Series X and honestly don’t think the frame rate is too bad. Have an LG CX with VRR. Enjoying the game so far.
"Dive into a twisted world of secret organizations"
The CMA?
@awp69 Same here! But especially bad PC ports are all too common nowdays. The Last of Us is/was a ***** show on PC.
Played a few hours of Benedict Fox, performance mode on XSX on a Sony Bravia without VRR and no stutter or frame rate issues whatsoever. Only complaint is the audio can pop and fizz occasionally, other than that it runs just fine.
I've played Benedict Fox for a couple of hours. I'm past the first boss and the door with the 3 keys. No problems so far. Series X/Plasma TV/Performance mode.
@Amigator That's great to read. How are the difficulty options?
@Bartig You can adjust everything to suit, combat/puzzle difficulty and exploration help can all be tweaked. You can also set invincibility for Benedict. None of these settings will lock you out of earning achievements.
@Bartig Everything from super easy to totally hard. I'm playing on default (equivalent to medium-hard). They are very customizable, you can one shot enemies if you want or die from a single hit.
