Yesterday brought us the reveal and surprise launch of Ubisoft Plus for Xbox, and it's fair to say it didn't go down too well - at least here at Pure Xbox. In our poll, 72% of you told us that it was just way too expensive for what it is.
However, something to keep in mind for the future is that Ubisoft Plus intends to add new releases on the day they launch, including Deluxe, Gold and even Premium Editions of those games in some circumstances.
With that in mind, here are over 10 games that will likely launch as part of Ubisoft Plus on Xbox:
- Assassin's Creed Mirage
- Assassin's Creed: Codename Hexe
- Assassin's Creed: Codename Red
- Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
- Beyond Good And Evil 2
- Prince of Persia: The Sands Of Time (Remake)
- Skull And Bones
- The Crew: Motorfest
- The Settlers: New Allies
- Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell (Remake)
- Untitled Star Wars Game
If you're intrigued by one or more of these, but not necessarily willing to pay full price for them, you may at least want to consider signing up for a month when they launch. $17.99 still seems like an expensive purchase just to try before you buy, but it's not so bad if you're also interested in some of the other games in the Ubi+ library.
Admittedly, we can't really see ourselves signing up to Ubisoft Plus permanently on Xbox, but we may dip into it now and again when some of these games come out. It's a good library of games, but $17.99 every month is asking a lot!
Would you sign up to Ubisoft Plus for any of these? Let us know in the comments below.

Beyond Good and Evil 2?
Good joke 🤣
I’d probably spend $18 to try Settlers and other titles then wait until the inevitable 70% off sale.
“Beyond Good And Evil 2” you sure that one will still come out before the service gets retired?
@UltimateOtaku91 it’s just too easy isn’t it? 🤣
@ParsnipHero I know 😂
Seriously how long has it been now since it was first announced? I can't remember a game taking this long to make.
What is the point of this article, I'm flabbergasted.
@Novs Just to make it clear which games will likely join the service at launch in the future. Nothing more, nothing less.
I cant stop laughing at the idea that Beyond Good And Evil 2 is going to ever launch.
If there’s a new single player game that I can complete in a month that I want to play, then maybe. Don’t want to spend $17 just to try a new game. So we’ll see but still definitely a pass as an on going subscription.
@Sebatrox Since they haven't said anything since it was announced it's safe to assume it's cancelled by capcom, also Beyond Good and Evil 2 was first teased in 2008 meaning it was in pre development stage in that year, yet 15 years later it's still not released. Ubisoft definitely have capcom beat with this.
Think if Ubi want to charge that much, they're going to need LOTS of new games regularly - this list is interesting but given it's probably over 2 to 4 years it'll be too spread out to make staying subscribed worth it compared to buying the games on sale.
If this had launched back when they had AC Valhalla and WD Legion coming out, followed shortly by Immortals Fenyx Rising - then all the AC DLC and Far Cry 6 - this might have been much more tempting.
But now they just don't have enough new additions regularly enough to charge more than Game Pass, even if they include DLC...
@BrilliantBill Late on the 15th, they sometimes stick around until part of the 16th as well.
Very nice. To be honest, I'll gladly pay for this if the new AC and Far Cry games are day one.
Seriously don’t expect any of those games to release in 2023 if ever….well maybe one or two…
After having Gamepass for over two years (as part of Series X purchase) I finally cancelled my sub until there are more games I want to play (waiting for you Starfield). It's definitely been more than good value - catching up on Xbox One games, tons of indies and various other titles but now I'll get it as and when I want to play specific games. I think this is what Ubisoft will likely see, players only picking up the service for a few months here and there when new titles release.
Nah that’s just stupid
@Novs same
I will just get a month if I fancy playing a game on release
If you could have it as a bolt on to game pass for like £5 I might be tempted.
@FraserG Which makes it completely unclear because almost nothing is actually confirmed at this point, some games are not even announced properly and some likely won't ever come out. The article is toying with the line between random guessing and false advertising.
I think I get it, this is the avant-garde of game journalism.
Interest is 2 remake
Beyond Good and Evil 2? Really? If you dropped $17.99 a month until its release, you'd end up roughly $2.5 million down.
im not interested in any of them
the avatar game and a south park game thats it
