It hasn't been very long at all since No Man's Sky received its free "Fractal" update back in February, and now we've already got another new offering called "Interceptor", described as the largest update for the game in recent memory.
This update features "a brand new class of incredibly varied Starship, a bunch of new gameplay features, new world variants and a ton of new content". You can get a taste of that new content in the trailer above.
"Venture to forsaken Sentinel worlds in update 4.2, INTERCEPTOR! Explore corrupted Sentinel planets, fight a legion of challenging new robotic guardians, hijack their technology, steal their ships, harvest their resources, destroy their freighters, and much, much more!"
This June will mark three years since No Man's Sky first arrived on Xbox Game Pass, and we're hoping it'll continue to stick around for the foreseeable future. The game has evolved substantially during that time with many free updates.
If you want to check out the full patch notes for the Interceptor update, you'll find them on the NMS website.

I've still never played this game, looks pretty interesting though. I just need more time to play games....how does one get that? Please do a feature article on getting more time to game please!
@Krzzystuff I've seen some min-max guides online but it usually comes at a cost of other player activities which can lead to a negative experience for not only yourself but other people. YMMV though!
This game certainly has come a long way since it's disasterous release!
Every time they release another update, I high five the air to support this company.
I've done my part, bought it on sale in 2018 on Xbox, and bought it again at full price for PSVR2 launch!
It's now one of those games I can pick up when I want to play something but not sure what. You can hop back into it and feel right at home within a few minutes.
The Dev should get tons of credit for all the work they've put into this game. It's gone from broken dud to a solid mainstay game. Highly recommend.
Every time an update is released, I jump back in for a few days, then move onto something else.
