In the latest episode of Forza Monthly, Playground Games discussed the Forza Horizon 5 series update, starting next week on 25th April.
As part of this, there'll be a new 'High Performance' content update, coming a few days later on 27th April. To cut to the chase, High Performance will add a "permanent race oval" to the Horizon Stadium. As noted by the team, the last time something like this was featured in the series, was in the Horizon 4 Lego Expansion.
Here's a bit about what to expect, along with a look:
"This series, the Horizon Stadium is transformed into an Oval Circuit decorated with various Horizon race-inspired props. While this area can be fully explored in Free Roam for the High Performance series only, the track itself has been permanently added as a race route to the game.
"Players can launch the Horizon Oval Circuit as a Road Racing event for solo, cooperative and competitive play, set their fastest leaderboard lap time on it in Rivals and even use it as a new EventLab build stub."

In addition to this, 20 new accolades are being added for the Horizon Oval Circuit. This update will also include a series of fixes, which you can read about in detail on the Forza website. You can also check out this month's live stream on YouTube.
Looking forward to tearing up the oval circuit? Comment below.

Will probably give it a go, did like the oval in FH4 Lego as it allowed you to top your car's speed out without risk (motorway for example there's always one moronic car that pulls out on you)
Briefly thought this might be a 120 FPS mode, now that's something that would pique my interest
The last time this was available was “the last game we did” is not the bold claim they think it is. Lol.
I love oval racing so I’m pleased. Not that I really understand what this content is. I avoid all the live service gunk they’ve clugged this game up with. If it’s adding some solo player circuit races to solo player - fantastic which is what the article makes it sound like - if not it’s more content that will vanish forever sooner rather than later.
I recently just got my teeth into storm island on 2 recently. I’d played it before but never threw myself into it, not sure why, it’s amazing, I’d go as far as to say the best DLC Forza has done, I missed out on Horizon 1 rally unfortunately, it’s such a shame storm island is lost forever as it’s really fantastic.
I had hoped the more recent Forzas would be future proofed but it seems the opposite.
The fast and furious stand-alone is also very very good.
Not sure why they didn't just always have the stadium setup like this. Does anyone actually like just having a flat open grass field? Seems kinda pointless in a game like this, I know they have the car soccer, but that seems like something that would only be played in some multiplayer mode. For freeroam this is way more fun and exciting.
Another good update imo since it has cars new to the franchise.
