We've got another game to add to our Xbox Game Pass April 2023 list today, as Cassette Beasts has been confirmed as coming to the service on April 26th, 2023 - but the catch is that it's only coming to PC Game Pass right now.
The PC release will be followed by an Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series X arrival as part of Xbox Game Pass at some point in Spring 2023. So don't worry - console players won't have to wait too long!
"Cassette Beasts will release on PC Windows, PC Game Pass on Day One and Steam the 26th of April and on Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch in late spring 2023."
As you can probably tell from the trailer and screenshots, Cassette Beasts shares a fair bit in common with Pokémon and other games in that genre, but it's also packed with plenty of unique elements - one of them being that monsters can be "recorded" to cassette tapes, and then played back in order to unleash them into battle.
It definitely looks like an interesting addition to Xbox Game Pass - we'll drop some more details below:
"Collect awesome monsters to use during turn-based battles in this open-world RPG. Combine any two monster forms using Cassette Beasts’ Fusion System to create unique and powerful new ones!"
"Welcome to New Wirral, a remote island inhabited by strange creatures you’ve only dreamed of, nightmares you hopefully haven’t, and a cast of brave folks who use cassette tapes to transform for battle. To find a way home you’ll need to explore every inch of the island, and record monsters to your trusty cassette tapes to gain their abilities!"

Cassette Beasts and where to find them...
Of course it's possible to create pokemon clone but there is a huge problem.
Pokemon has been around for a very long time so the actual Pokemon like Pikachu have become so iconic and part of childhood for many people. It has that special nostalgic and emotional connection. That's something no dev team can replicate. This and the product diversity of pokemon, the cards, merchandise, anime etc is what makes It so successful
this looks super fun.
@Chaudy call me starry eyed. I can’t speak for the devs but there’s likely some people who are making a spin in the Pokémon formula because it was there childhood and they have a vision. Not necessarily to be the next Pokémon global franchise.
I'd try this and I bet my son will like it. Yay gamepass!
