If you've been browsing the Xbox Store over the past 24 hours and come across a message suggesting a game is "not playable on this device" and you can't understand why, you're not alone! Fortunately, it's just a visual bug.
We've seen reports from many Xbox users on social media questioning why games such as Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Batman Arkham Knight are all incorrectly displaying this message:
All of those games are, of course, playable on Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. The WWE 2K23 Icon and Deluxe Editions are also playable on all of those platforms as of today (despite what the Store might be telling you):
Hopefully Microsoft will get around to fixing this issue very soon, but in the meantime you can rest assured that it's just a bug and nothing more. If you're concerned about whether a certain game supports your chosen console, it's definitely worth doing a little extra digging online until this error gets resolved.

Same in france.
Does anybody else keep getting asked to update the store yet the update never completed? The store opens as usual…but then asked again to update the next time I open the store…a never ending cycle for months now
@Bleachedsmiles Yep, I get that too.
@Bleachedsmiles This has been happening to me since the xbox one it's annoying.
Ha I noticed this last night sent a ticket to xbox using the report a problem on xbox and using the Microsoft forums tbh this bug has been around for a while
@FraserG I wish they’d spend a bit of time looking in to pretty basic stuff like this. I mean it’s probably been about 2 years of broken links from the rewards page… I love clicking on something and having a surprise page open up as much as the next person, and I can’t get enough of being made to reopen bing just to confirm some points…but it does get a bit tiresome after 2+ years, I gotta admit.
As an insider, I reported this issue last week. I imagine they will be resolving the issue today or in the next 2 or 3 days. They won't leave an issue up long that will make consumers think twice about making a purchase.
@Bleachedsmiles Yes. One of several minor bugs I have repeatedly.
@Bleachedsmiles The Rewards app is often glitchy. Ignoring inputs and generally being sluggish. As a UI designer it drives my barmy.
i chek them all on Series S and X too. No problems at all. every game mentioned here are installable and playable
Saw this for Dead Cells bundle. Knew it would be a glitch but did make me pause.
Could this be anyway related to the rewards app not recognising any achievements earned for either the daily or weekly?
Yeah it came up for me when I purchased Dead Cells Return to Castlevania, I figured it was just a bug & it installed just fine. Strange though
got that also. on the Store said Not playable on other edition, but can still play regular version of Hogwarts Legacy (Series S)
Came across this message while browsing the store yesterday. Good to known it's only a bug.
omg they really need to improve their store app asap it's a gamer's nightmare. 😮
Both Sony and MS need to spend some QA time with their interfaces and store fronts. Both of them let us down with this basic functionality. Hope this issue is fixed soon as its confusing!
