Capcom's Exoprimal was recently unveiled as yet another day one Xbox Game Pass title, coming to the service this July. However, did you know that you can get a taste of the action early, for free, right now?!
That's correct, the Exoprimal open beta is now live on Xbox, wrapping up on Monday, March 20th. There's quite a lot to get stuck into with this beta as well, along with a bonus reward to claim for the full release on July 14.
Open Beta Test Content
Available Game Content
- Dino Survival, Tutorial, Training
Available Exosuits
- Deadeye, Zephyr, Barrage, Vigilant, Roadblock, Krieger, Murasame, Witchdoctor, Skywave, Nimbus
Available Rigs
- Cannon, Aid, Catapult, Blade, Shield, Drill Fist
*Exosuits and rigs are unlocked for use in the retail version of the game by raising your player level, but these will be available from the beginning in the open beta test.
Fields
- Downtown, Airport, Ruins
Missions
- Dinosaur Cull, Area Control, VTOL Defense, Escort, Data Key Security, Energy Taker, Omega Charge.
The bonus beta reward will available via the team's 'Capcom ID' system around launch. Basically, take part in the Exoprimal beta, complete an online survey (available to access on the Exoprimal website), and voila, you'll be granted the 'Aibius Medal Charm' in the full game.
It's worth making sure you're signed up to Capcom ID and have it linked to your Xbox account anyway, as you'll need it to play Exoprimal to begin with. All of the details on signing up are available on the Capcom website.
Are you going to give this beta a shot? If you've played it, let us know what you think!

Well, I guess I’ll try this one out. Why not? It’s always good playing a Capcom game while waiting for the other Capcom game.
I forgot about this game. Looks like it could be fun. I'll definitely try it out.
For anyone who has played it...How does it compare to Earth Defenese Force? I loved EDF 2025 and EDF 5 on PC but seems we aren't getting the new game EDF6 on Xbox. They seem similar looking at the trailers.
I downloaded the beat and was ready to play it but it was too early. Now that I’ve watched gameplay I realize it’s not for me anyways.
I played one game and it was fun. I’m excited to try it out more this weekend.
