Yesterday, EA DICE revealed that three Battlefield games would be going permanently offline in the coming months, as the team is "shifting focus towards current and future" titles. Following this announcement, we took another look at EA's 'Online Services Shutdown' support page and spotted four more games that are going offline in 2023.
All of these titles are Xbox 360 era EA games, and none of them are currently available to purchase digitally. Their online services will go offline on various different dates, which we'll include down below.
- Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning (May 15, 2023)
- Shadows of the Damned (March 28, 2023)
- Syndicate (June 15, 2023)
- Warp (May 15, 2023)
The first three of these titles are all backwards compatible, and are still playable on modern Xbox consoles using physical copies. They have already been delisted digitally though, so Xbox Series S users - you're out of luck at this stage. Of course, don't forget that Kingdoms of Amalur has since received a remastered version on Xbox.
Any online features will be discontinued for these games on the above dates, so if there's anything you want to access online within these titles, time is of the essence. Don't be surprised if we hear of many more EA games shutting their servers throughout 2023 - we'll keep you updated if we spot anything.
Do you own any of these games? Still use their online features? Let us know!

What online features does Shadows of the Damned have? I don't recall it having online.
Shadows of the Damned is my favourite non No More Heroes grasshopper game. Absolutely fantastic. Rather than playing the Resident Evil 4 remake do yourself a favour and play this instead if you've not already.
Syndicate was also great. Starbreeze at their best with Wolfenstein New Order vibes in the gunplay during the game.
I can understand Kingdoms of Amular since they have a Remaster available now.
welp, i'll never buy an ea game again. if its not on game pass i just won't play it.
@Snake_V5 just guessing some leaderboards?
Really annoys me they don’t announce these games being delisted… I been hoping to see a sale in Shadows of the damned to have an easily accessible digital copy but I guess now my only choice is physical on ebay.
What's even the point of backwards compatibility if major publishers behave like that.
@Novs because servers won't be supported forever. Medal of Honor airborne is still on EA Play and the server closed a month ago.
@Bricktop33 Well, duh, and they'll just soon delist them like Shadow of the damned, syndicate and bad company 1-2. Your point is?
