It's not been the best period for Halo Infinite, but 343 Industries is pushing on by delivering a new "highly requested" feature.
Ahead of Season 3, Infinite community-made Forge maps now feature their own unique matchmaking playlist. This adds four new maps to the mix, created by Halo Infinite players.
The maps featured so far include Absolution, Perilous, Salvation and Starboard. Here's a look:
According to 343, this is "just the beginning" of the community collection playlist and it will be updated in the future with further community content.
What do you think of this new feature for Halo Infinite? Comment below.

Don't get me wrong, this is great it's just a shame that any recreations of maps from other games won't be featured. No random appearance of facilty or shipment to spark a random bit of joy and chaos. (Totally get why).
Guess forge creators will have to make "new" maps with the same layouts.
You totally get why... Well I am confused. Why can't people recreate old maps? I read the article and don't see anything about that not being possible in the future. I am guessing it is something that came up in a different article?
@abe_hikura Also don't understand why fan recreations wouldn't show up. @Stoned_Patrol Did we miss something?
Having some fun on thede at the moment while unlocking the mini pass. Still have issues with desync & general content but a good step forward
@Stoned_Patrol @themightyant Legal reasons for example Nintendo would probably sue if 343 put forge remakes of the Metroid Prime 2 multiplayer maps into matchmaking.
Remakes of XGS maps are safe though, I think all 4 maps are remakes of old Halo maps (top right is a remake of Damnation from CE, bottom right is a remake of Midship from Halo 2 and while I couldn't identify the other 2 they felt familiar).
@Stoned_Patrol there are old maps, they're in the Community section. I played on Battle Creek for example. A playlist for those would be great.
@Grumblevolcano Mixed messaging I think. Thought we WERE talking about old Halo maps. Obviously not going to promote Rainbow Road or something, though it's a shame that is the state of things. EDIT: E.g. Look at SNL's Dark Mario Kart, why can't we have recreation and parody within gaming. A shame.
@Grumblevolcano @themightyant Grumble has it, it's one thing to have us "wild gamers" use in-game assets to produce knock-off maps and share them among ourselves (the community stuff) but this is a curated playlist by 343i themselves, that's different (remember how the Goldeneye remake within Farcry 5 got pulled).
Original maps, maps based on legacy content, and even some based on on xbox studio games might happen but I am sure there is some sort of internal requirement for the maps to fit with Halo, so you wont see say something based on Banjo or perfect dark
A remake of Damnation, Midship, and Lockout and an original. All of them are for small games.
They just Really hate big team battle, don't they?
Why make content when the fans can do it for you?!!
FINALLY! This is the only way to save Halo Infinite since the devs are seemingly incapable of making maps. Blow this open and let the community save Halo.
@InterceptorAlpha To be fair, most people hate Big Team Battle lol! I do it as a warm-up but it gets old quick.
@Trmn8r @InterceptorAlpha can you blame them? Halo Infinite's BTB just ain't it. At least not in its current form.
I think it's easier to get the 4v4 maps in rotation first because they're smaller and the player base is there. Hopefully we'll see a coagulation remake and that one big massive snowy one too. Those two maps should make a huge difference to BTB.
