Update: It's now been confirmed that Cities: Skylines Remastered will be part of Xbox Game Pass!
Original story: The fantastic city-building game Cities: Skylines is officially getting a remastered version next week in the form of Cities: Skylines Console Remastered, which arrives as a free upgrade on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S for anyone who owns the Xbox One version of the game (and hopefully Xbox Game Pass subscribers as well).
This version of Cities: Skylines is said to offer an "an enhanced player experience". Here's a list of features:
- 25 buildable tiles!
- Quick selection tool
- UX Improvements (such as precision placements, distance indicator and updated snapping options)
- New environmental controls panel (adjust things like time of day, rain, fog, and environment colouring)
- Map editor
- And an overall graphic performance increase for the bigger city builders!
As mentioned, Cities: Skylines (the Xbox One version) is currently available as part of Xbox Game Pass already, so we're hoping the remastered version will also be added to the library next week, although there's no confirmation yet.
We'll find out more very soon - Cities: Skylines Remastered launches next Wednesday, February 15th.

I just know this will pull me back in for full Saturdays again
Fantastic news. I’ve fallen away from Cities: Skylines recently as the nine tile limit was becoming more unbearable with each expansion.
I’ve got big plans for the twenty-five tile play space!
Well... I nearly downloaded the XONE version the other day as I haven't played a SIM game in ages, so looking forward to this.
