It was back in May of last year that Bethesda decided to delay both Starfield and Redfall to the first half of 2023, and while we still don't have any official release dates for either as of yet, it sounds like the latter is almost ready to go.
According to a new report from Windows Central, Redfall is currently targeting a release in May 2023, and specifically the first week in May. The new co-op shooter from Arkane Studios was previously rumoured to be arriving in March by Okami13 on Twitter, before he, too, suggested that it had been pushed back to early May 2023.

The report mentions that Redfall is set to receive an early access period similar to Forza Horizon 5's launch in 2021, where certain players will get access to the game slightly ahead of time, although specifics have yet to be revealed.
Hopefully we might find out more about the official date for Redfall (and Starfield) at some kind of Xbox event in early 2023, which has been rumoured to be happening over the past month. Let's kick the year off with a bang, Microsoft!
Excited for Redfall? Let us know down in the comments section below.

May? Then what big game is coming out between now and May? That's another four month wait. Perhaps Stalker 2? Because we all know it's not Starfield or Forza. Those are both going to be at the end of the year.
Fair enough I suppose, for those forking out the full 70. Probably a really good system actually. Why shouldn't there be a reward for those buying it outright. Happy to wait for Gamepass here though.
@Romans12 My thoughts exactly. I think Atomic heart is going to be another High on life size hit though.
@Romans12 forza is probably the closest to release. I'm guessing March or April.
That’s disappointing as Microsoft said Starfield would release after Redfall, so if this is true I’m fully expecting Starfield getting delayed again to the Fall, if not 2024 at this rate.
I’m okay with a May release date. There are plenty of other games coming out, particularly on Game Pass, that will take up my time. A few of those games are Persona 3/4, Atomic Heart (a game I’ve been clamoring for for years now), and although it’s not a Game Pass title, Star Wars Jedi Survivor. All of those games including what’s currently in my backlog will keep me plenty busy.
I’m also expecting Microsoft to have a showcase this month. I don’t know why, but it’s just a suspicion of mine considering the lack of AAA presence at the Game Awards and the rumors following since. I genuinely believe we are in store for a few surprises between now and May.
@Romans12 My guess for the 2023 lineup is:
Crazy thought but I’m going out and siding with the idea that Starfield will come out by April.
@Grumblevolcano I think you’re hoping for too much, but I really want to be proved wrong.
Probably one of the few that has zero interest in this one, but if true, good news for the people that are.
@IOI I was being cautious not to predict too many delays out of the already confirmed release windows (that list was already predicting that Starfield and Forza Motorsport would be delayed out of the 1st half of 2023).
2023's lineup pretty much comes down to what extent you believe Microsoft will achieve the "12 month" goal they set for the June 2022 showcase. Minecraft Legends, Redfall, Starfield, Forza Motorsport and ARA History Untold were all in that showcase.
Hoping this is good as a single player game, but MS seems hell bent on creating "communities."
@Grumblevolcano
Hang on you copying me on the big three 😂😂😂
Redfall before June 2023
Forza September
Starfield November or December.
Was so obvious those games were not all going to be released before end of June 2023.
You could tell Phil was lying, his lips moved 😂
Looks like something I'd play on gamepass. But if it's may, I'll be fully stuck into TotK by then. So I won't be buying another game on either switch or Xbox for a while.
@Tharsman your guess is too wild
By the look of things... We will be lucky to have starfield at summer if not by next holiday
If true, I can't see Starfield releasing in the first half of the year given these are the two biggest exclusives coming in 2023.
