After years and years of waiting, Konami finally brought Silent Hill back into the conversation with the recent announcement of multiple series projects, including a PlayStation-exclusive remake. However, Konami is also presenting the opportunity for even more Silent Hill projects to get going.
In a new interview with IGN, series producer Motoi Okamoto says that now the word is out about Silent Hill coming back, the team is "all ears" about further game pitches from developers.
"Unfortunately, there are some projects that never actually got off the ground. Still, I think the number of projects we have will only continue to grow.
The fact we were reviving Silent Hill was a secret until now, so we couldn't exactly go out and yell, βHey, everyone! Bring us your Silent Hill projects!β We can do that now, so if creators from around the world who love Silent Hill bring us their pitches, I promise to look through every one of them. We're all ears."
Given Silent Hill 2 Remake is currently a PlayStation exclusive (for at least 12 months), this could provide a nice opportunity for Xbox to get in on the action and pitch something. Microsoft owns The Evil Within developer Tango Gameworks now - we're just saying!
All jokes aside, we'd like to see any future Silent Hill projects come straight to Xbox to be honest, regardless of whether they turned out to be exclusive to the platform.
Who would you like to see make a Silent Hill game for Xbox? Drop your ideas down below!

Um....no because it's good business when Sony buys exclusive content.
The more the merrier
My plan for SE for the next 2-3 years is to just assume all their titles will be PS exclusive now they sold off their western studios.
I will be "pleased" if any come to switch
I will be "shocked" if they come to Xbox.
Hope the main next instalment will be on Xbox
@armondo36 just like xbox did with high on life recently
@mrpunisher Difference is I bet high on life will be on playstation within 6 months max....while silent hill remake could well possibly be another final fantasy 7 remake case.....and Xbox never get it
@mrpunisher donβt forget stalker 2
@Kaloudz Let's hope people actually buy the Fatal Frame 4 remake when it releases in March. For anybody in the West who didn't play a translated ISO, it's effectively a new game.
@abe_hikura Sony is only really interested in the AAA stuff. Smaller releases almost all seem to be Switch-focused, with many of them being exclusive to the platform.
@Shaun2018098
and Ark 2 also
@Kaloudz @Ralizah I'm getting Fatal Frame 4 on day 1. Sooooo happy that's being localized. β€π
"All ears"? What about bringing the game to Xbox as well?
@Kaloudz Yeah baby, remasters of Project Zero/Fatal Frame 1, 2 and 3.
@EVIL-C I'll pre-order 4 just like 5 to show support π. Note that I also pre-ordered 5 on Wii U and imported 4.
@abe_hikura My plan is to play my backlog and Game Pass until Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and XVI are released on Xbox...

You must plan on living forever and ever lol.
@StylesT like quantum break never came to ps ?
@Shaun2018098 exactly
@Sebatrox i could say this about call of duty too
Silent Hill 2 is also coming to PC. I'm on the fence about it...I mean, I already played the original game a couple times. I don't know what this has to offer other than better graphics.
@Kaloudz Several months back, a multiplatform remake of the Japan-only Wii entry, Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse, was announced during a Nintendo Direct.

@Kaloudz FF4 is coming to every current platform, even PC, so the options are vast. π I'm torn between either Switch or PS in this case , since I've played the others on both Sony and Nintendo. I like consistently. π
@Kaloudz Agreed, my man!
I would love to see remasters of the three first Fatal Frame/Project Zero games. I remember them looking so cool and scary on PS2. Sadly, this is highly unlikely considering it is a very modest franchise sales wise.
@Kaloudz I completely empathize with that.
One night, I played the first one with the lights off. It was 1 a.m., maybe 2 a.m. when I switched off the console. Man, big mistake staying so late with that game, lol. I couldn't sleep that night, because every single little noise I heard reminded me of those bloody ghosts!
@Kaloudz Yeah, the second one is probably the best. I hope that they bring 3, 2 and 1 after 5 and 4, as they're going backwards.
@Kaloudz In actuality, most of my third party games these days I get for Xbox, cause I like the platform/ecosystem more than Sony in recent years. FF5/Maiden of Black Water was fun, and I really hope the entire series gets remastered. That said, I'd say FF5 was the "worst" title, so for people who maybe started with 5, the older titles are much better. π (not counting 4 as that's new for me)
