Free Play Days: Try These Xbox Games For Free (January 5-8)

Including the new Saints Row & more!

Xbox's Free Play Days promotion returns this weekend after a short new year's break, and it's coming back with a bang! 2022's Saints Row reboot is headlining the selection this weekend, joined by two other Xbox titles.

As always, remember that you'll need Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to take advantage of these Free Play Days titles. They'll be live until late on Sunday, January 8th.

For playing these games beyond this weekend, there are a few options available. First off, Cricket 22 is a part of the standard Xbox Game Pass library, while For The King is currently 75% off over the course of the weekend. Saints Row is a part of the ongoing 'Last Chance' sale, but only the Platinum Edition of the game is discounted, at 33% off.

The Saints Row reboot will be the gravestone for the series. Complete and utter garbage wouldn't play even for free.

I wish that they would offer demo's for upcoming games and not old ones that nobody is interested in.

After the “bright future update” I’m willing to give Saints row a go. I’m not saying they’ve fixed everything, but surely it’s in better shape than it was at launch? 😬 maybe they are testing the water for a possible GamePass release?

OK, Three days to persuade me to give the game a shot. Three days to persuade me that Saints Row needed a total reboot. Three days to persuade me to part with my money...
