Board game fans, this one's for you! We've finally got a proper date for Catan: Console Edition, which is officially coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S on February 28th, 2023.
This version of Catan, which "retains the essence of the board game in our digital iteration", includes a dynamic single-player AI along with local and online multiplayer functionality (with crossplay), and you can even track resources on your smartphone if you want to!
Xbox pre-orders will be available beginning in early February, with the standard version of the game priced at a very reasonable £16.99 / $19.99, and the Deluxe edition slightly more expensive at £19.99 / $24.99.

I used to love the 360 version. What an incredible game - really got me into it and bought the physical board game. Same with Carcassonne and Ticket To Ride. XBLA was great. Hope this version is good too.
We have come a long way since the 800msp (£6.80ish) cost of the original though.
@K1LLEGAL The 360 one was one of my most played games on the console. Loved that one. Bought the Xbone version and was definitely underwhelmed with it. It was missing a lot of what made the original a success. I mean, it was still Catan, but it was missing the little things and I didn’t really like the updates they did. Hope this iteration is an improvement. Love console Catan!
@somnambulance wow I didn’t realise there was an Xbox One version in between these? Will look into it but suppose it’s not worth it now. Yea the 360 version was so good that my console red ringed while I was highly addicted to it, that I looked up some free flash browser based version of the game to play while my console was being repaired.
