Last week, Capcom confirmed that Resident Evil 4 Remake is in its final development stages, further cementing the game's March 24th 2023 release date. Even though we're just a few months out from launch, the team has done significant work remaking this RE classic, even expanding certain areas.
In the latest issue of EDGE magazine (via Twitter) the dev team discussed how work on Resident Evil 4 Remake commenced, namely, how each major section of the game was handled by a smaller team before being brought together collectively. One of those sections, the infamous 'Island' area, apparently has "A lot more to it" in the 2023 remake.
The fact that the Island section returns at all may be a surprise to some, considering its more action-oriented design has proved controversial at times. It sounds like the area is back and bigger than ever in Resident Evil 4 Remake, hinting that Capcom isn't holding back on expanding the 2023 title.
