Back in the summer, Xbox announced that it was beginning to bring its Xbox Cloud Gaming tech to select Smart TVs, starting with manufacturer Samsung's 2022 lineup. In late June the app arrived, allowing gamers to enjoy Xbox on their televisions, and now the team is extending its partnership with Samsung to include more models.
As of this week, Xbox Cloud Gaming is now supported on 2021 Samsung Smart TVs, in addition to the 2022 lineup:
Microsoft has also now added controller rumble to the xCloud Smart TV experience, as mentioned above.
For now, it hasn't been revealed whether the tech will be coming to other TV brands, but we hope to see something soon. A bunch of us have LG TVs here at Pure Xbox, so we're hoping they might be next in line!
Do you have an Xbox Cloud Gaming compatible TV? Tempted to try it out? Let us know down below.

I sold my series X last month, I had stopped gaming on it back in August because I started using xcloud on phone or laptop. It's much more convenient
I have a Samsung 8k 950R QLED I haven't noticed anything. Guessing that I have to manually add it.
Won't hurt to try to see how it works but certainly won't be replacing my Series X.
LG would be a very good brand to get cloud gaming, they are probably the top seller in the UK along with Samsung.
@Dezzy70 they have a deal with Samsung it's the 'official' TV brand for Xbox that's why it's Samsung's that get the app
It won’t come to other TV’s. It will Samsung only due to the deal and then they will release a stick and streaming box. Doubt it will happen soon though. Cloud is still inconsistent though. Needs a lot of work/
@Would_you_kindly
They do have deals with LG in the UK
Like early in this year series s for £50 with LG oleds and on LG website an Xbox partner gets mentioned.
Also not that we would notice Xbox is also an official partner of England and France national football teams.
Streaming has come a long way. No more screen wipes, artifacts, or major input lag. It's still lower res but definitely playable.
I have a 2021 Samsung in the living room, but play mostly on SX / LG C1 in the bedroom. I just tried FH5 on the Samsung and it's good enough that, for the first time, I felt like this was something I could recommend to other people. Maybe not for "gamers" but for most people the quality is probably good enough that they wouldn't notice or care.
@Luminous117 Same. I have a Frame (2020). Cloud gaming could make boosting achievements with myself easier. Won't replace my Series X but could be a rare addition. I don't like to use my laptop to play games.
I don’t get these price excuses. A streaming box doesn’t need to cost a lot to make nor sell. Pretty much every TV in every home has internet so just do the app that way. Connect the controller. Stadia may have collapsed but it ran well. I suspect it’s more about the fact that Xcloud is still not that good than anything else.
Put it on LG Tellys Xbox kthxbye
I ain't letting go of my Series S for nothing, much less X.
Imo, these new consoles are Back 2 School necessity. I would ask for it.
Series S/X and PS5 are a must have for everyone
I have a UE43AU7100 TV, will it ever come to my model?
