Well, here's a nice surprise for Elden Ring owners! Bandai Namco has announced today that the game is getting a free update across all platforms (including Xbox One, Series X and Series S) this Wednesday, December 7th.
The update is called "Colosseum", and it will allow players to "engage in battles such as duels, free-for-alls and team fights". You can see a sample of this in the trailer above,
"Come forth, warriors, and bask in the glory of the Colosseums."
No further details have been provided, so we don't know release times for this update just yet.
In other news, Elden Ring is nominated for the Game of the Year award at The Game Awards 2022 this week, and we're pretty sure it's going to take the crown. You'll be able to watch the show live with us here at Pure Xbox, and hopefully we might even get some Elden Ring DLC news as well. Fingers crossed!

Glad its not the "real" DLC - online isn't my bag
Always nice to get a free update - though I'm not into PvP,. so this has little interest to me. Bring on the non PvP additions!
I'm about to get wrecked! Awesome reason to jump back in, even if it means getting slaughtered non-stop. If anyone wants to do duos let me know!
