There are multiple sales promotions going on right now on Xbox Live, including the massive 'Countdown' sale that continues to tick over into the new year. In addition to Xbox's annual new year sale, the team recently added its usual selection of Deals with Gold and Spotlight sales to the mix, both of which contain some seriously steep discounts.
So, without further ado, here are all the games discounted by 80-90% as part of both Deals with Gold and this week's Spotlight sale:
Game | Sale | Discount |
Outbreak | Spotlight Sale | 90% |
Realpolitiks New Power | Spotlight Sale | 90% |
Slender: The Arrival | Spotlight Sale | 90% |
Everreach: Project Eden | Spotlight Sale | 85% |
GRIP Digital Deluxe | Spotlight Sale | 85% |
Phantom Doctrine | Spotlight Sale | 85% |
MudRunner – American Wilds Edition | Deals with Gold | 80% |
The Crew 2 – Standard Edition | Deals with Gold | 80% |
Bound by Flame (Backwards Compatible) | Deals with Gold | 80% |
As previously mentioned, the current Countdown sale is also still live and it's a big one, containing its own huge selection of heavily discounted games. Check out the links below for the full list of deals — and for some of the steepest discounts — available in Xbox's annual new year promotion.

just curious, why do it with % off? why not just put price?
@stvevan It's mainly due to regional price differences/currencies making things a little messy. With this amount of deals it's doable, but sometimes we're listing quite a lot of them and then it gets complicated & time consuming
Everreach looks cool, I didn't know about that one.
Curious about the Outbreak games. The dev seems passionate based off of their Reddit presence and they crank out games like mad. Admittedly, they don't look very good, but the quality seems to go up with every release. Has anyone played them?
Slender: The Arrival is one of those game I know I'll never play but kinda wanna add to my Library because it's a dollar.
Picked up Grip Digital Deluxe for just over £6, it's a solid racer and well worth it.

StarCraft Ghost was never released...
What is that game?
As tempting as they look, I Already bought, Stranger of Paradise and No more heroes 3 on the last sale, plus Valkirie Elisyum and lenneth on PS5 so my videogame quota fror january 2023 is already spent.
