It's a new month, and that means plenty of new titles for Xbox Game Pass. One we're particularly excited about here at Pure Xbox is Return to Monkey Island. Guybrush Threepwood is back in a brand new adventure that continues on from the story in the original two games.
Ahead of the game's Xbox launch on 8th November, Xbox's ID@Xbox channel has uploaded a new trailer - promoting the title's Game Pass and Xbox Series X|S release. Take a look below:
"It’s been many years since Guybrush Threepwood was last locked in a battle of wits with his nemesis, the zombie pirate LeChuck. His true love, Elaine Marley, has turned her focus away from governing and Guybrush himself is adrift and unfulfilled, having never found the Secret of Monkey Island. Hip, young pirate leaders led by Captain Madison have shuffled the old guard from power, Melee Island has taken a turn for the worse, and famed businessman Stan has been imprisoned for ‘marketing-related crimes."

Really happy to see this one coming to game pass and in a just a week , was planning to buy it on switch I didn’t even knew it was coming to Xbox.
Almost a shadow drop. I do wonder how many of these Game Pass deals with publishers close at the last moment. Or, Xbox might be trying to keep a low profile as of late because, why not?
Great to see this coming to Game Pass. I loved Monkey Island back in the day, but honestly was hesitant to pay full price.
@gingataisen They also don't want to cannibalise Day 1 sales on other platforms. Likely deals are done well in advance. We've had many games accidentally be announced on Game Pass, then denied profusely, only for them to turn up months later. Gives you a glimpse behind the machine.
@themightyant That's an interesting theory. Maybe, sure. Very considerate towards the publisher, if that is the case.
