We barely know anything more about The Elder Scrolls 6 since the game was first teased way back in 2018, yet that hasn't stopped folks talking about it on a constant basis. For a while, Bethesda largely avoided talking about the game while it focused on Starfield, however company legend Todd Howard recently touched on the topic during a podcast interview with Lex Fridman.
Fridman pushed Todd to talk about any potential TES6 release date, and while the developer obviously gave no real hints, he did talk a little bit about how long it's taking to create the next Elder Scrolls:
"I wish it was soon. We want 'em out too. I wish they didn't take as long as they did, but they do! If I could go back in time, it would never have been my plan to wait as long as it's taken for it [The Elder Scrolls 6]."
The latest Elder Scrolls game, Skyrim, released all the way back in 2011, and despite many re-releases and the subsequent launch of The Elder Scrolls Online, fans are still very eager to learn more about when TE6 might arrive.
For now, we're in the dark on the next Elder Scrolls, but at least Starfield seems to be coming along nicely. Xbox is expected to launch Bethesda's newest IP in the first half of 2023, following its recent delay.
