Cyberpunk 2077 has experienced a second shot at success in recent times thanks to the release of the new Netflix anime, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
If you have returned to Night City after watching Studio Trigger's stylish and stunning series, you're not alone. CD Projekt Red has revealed the game has now had 1 million active players per day for four consecutive weeks:
"1 million active players each day for four weeks in a row - Night City sure is thriving! Your passion and continued support leave us speechless. Thank you, Chooms!"
This player update follows an announcement earlier this month that CDPR was already working on a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, which promises to "prove the full power and potential of the Cyberpunk universe".
CP2077 has received multiple updates since its rough launch in December 2020 - improving the quality of life features, and even adding in new content. The next-generation version of the game has also gone live, with CDPR dropping support for past versions of the game.

i dont think so
The power of anime ☺️
I have been trying it again lately after never completing it almost 2 years ago. There is a lot to like about the ambition and scale of the game. However the driving controls and ai drives me mad, they seem to appear from nowhere and crash straight into you on missions. But overall I am enjoying my time in night city.
They deserve it... Yeah they made a bad lunch but they worked hard to redeem themselves... I player the games in march and i was in love with it waiting now for a game+
I'm eager to get back into the game when the DLC releases.
Held off on playing it for a good long while despite buying at launch. I put about 10 hours in after it was "fixed" and was enjoying it, but then Elden Ring and Horizon Forbidden West came out and I thought those games deserved my time more (which I stand by).
Anyway, I'm back with Cyberpunk now these past two weeks and honestly... I'm loving it.
@Gamingforlife the bar is so low that a multi-million dollar company needs to be celebrated for getting its game up to “not-broken” state almost 2 years after launch.
The game’s still terrible. I’m having a hard time believing these numbers aren’t majorly inflated to appease investors.
Or are we meant to believe player count magically went up the same week as their H1 2022 board meeting
It got so much better. I finished it maybe a year ago. I am sure it is so much better now. There are so many empty things in CP2077. But it is still decent. Pick it up when you can.
