Okay, so, this is a weird one. Astro has just dropped a new ad for its upcoming A30 headset revision, and it contains a suite of gaming hardware to match, including a PS5 and an Xbox Series X. However, the Series X system on show is white - a colour scheme we've not yet seen since the generation began.
Now, this could just be a custom job purely for the ad - but that seems an odd choice given the other consoles are standard editions. If you wanted to showcase a white Xbox console for your next-gen headset, why would you not simply use an Xbox Series S?
There's another wrinkle to this story as well. Astro Gaming is now owned by tech company Logitech, who recently worked with Microsoft on the upcoming Logitech G CLOUD handheld device. That partnership was more on the software side, sure, but it stands to reason that the two companies have a decent relationship behind the scenes.
Either way, we're not exactly sure what's going on here, but we could indeed see a white Series X in the near future - we saw the white Xbox One not too long after launch. Whatever happens next, the console looks seriously sweet in white anyway!
What do you think is going on here? Custom one-off or a hint at something new? Let us know in the comments.

I think it was purely for the advert as that was the colour scheme it had going.
But a white series X does look good, maybe they will bring it out along with a black series S, the inverted editions.
The advert clearly shows the person selecting different colours of the same items, so it is probably just an artistic expression.
They likely just spray painted a Series X for the purpose of the ad and didn’t consult Xbox about it.
i do like the look but i'll be locked into black for a while
With Microsoft's current quality assurance, it would likely yellow within a year. 😂
Is it just me, or does it look like there's a Xbox 360 Slim between the Series X and the PS5?
Not a fan, but it would work well visually alongside the PS5 and launch model SWOLED with the white joycons and dock.
@sakanakami I think you’re right
Think it looks nice and I wouldn't mind having one..but I know if that was the standard colour i would most likely be thinking exactly the same if black was new....I have a decal covering my series x and ps5 anyways so colour doesn't matter anyway
More then likely it’s just a skin, but a white Series X would look mint, as would a black Series S.
it's for the advert.
Meh, I am pretty tired of white consoles by now to be honest, something about seeing that big white ugly air purifier looking tower that Sony calls the PS5 made me not a fan of that look.
