Assassin's Creed fans could be in for a treat later this week, with the French company Ubisoft expected to announce "several new games" in the franchise.
The reveal will reportedly take place at the upcoming Ubisoft Forward event on Saturday. The company has already teased how it will share a "peek at the future of the franchise". According to Bloomberg and the original source Try Hard, there'll be a mobile game and two major games showcased.
The first "major" game is supposedly developed by Ubisoft's Quebec City Office, and is set in Japan. The second one is apparently being handled by the Montreal Office and is set around the latter stages of the Holy Roman Empire. It would focus on the witch trials.
The recently announced game Mirage will also be on show. It's expected to be set in Baghdad during the 800s based on some "widespread" leaks. It's believed it'll be stealth orientated, similar to some of the earlier games.
Are you excited to see what Assassin's Creed announcements are shared at Ubisoft Forward? Will you be tuning in? Tell us below.

@GunValkyrian it's like the early 2010's all over again.
That being said, I'm interested to see what's next, especially if they're taking the series back in a more stealth oriented direction, with actual assassins and having the games take place in cities again. The last AC game I played was to completion was Unity (after all the patches); since then the only one I've played is Valhalla. I know people generally like Origins/Odyssey/Valhalla and lauded the series' new direction but, my God, what a boring arse game that is, in my opinion. Give me another tighter city-based experience Ubisoft and I'll be happy.
There are never enough AC games for me. Here's hoping we still keep getting the open world ones.
@Lup Finally someone i can agree with on this damn site! I love when companies keep putting out the games i love. There will never be enough AC games in my opinion and the big open world is one of my favorite parts. I mean i also love the building traversal of the old games, but i want an AC game to be huge with tons of collectibles and places to explore.
@OliverOwen
Don't get me wrong, I liked most of them, and a few of the "old" ones I loved. But with this new trilogy I almost became obssesed. There is a lot of content, a lot of stuff to explore, and to be honest I even enjoyed the lore a lot. I would be sad if we get back to ONLY the old-style AC, but if we get both kinds? I wouldn't mind.
Set in Japan?! Feudal Japan or something different?
@Rafie Current Japan actually. They want to bring Desmond back to jump on and off all the Neon signs around the city
@OliverOwen 😂 Yeah I can see that. For real though, I wonder what time period this will be set in. If its feudal, then the Ghost of Tsushima comparisons will be imminent.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.........
