After this year's 'WRC Generations' entry, the WRC baton is being passed onto racing experts Codemasters, at least for the foreseeable future. We don't know too much about next year's rally game just yet, which will be Codies first in the series, but a new report hints at what we might be able to expect.
Over at Insider Gaming, well-known leaker Tom Henderson is reporting that 'WRC 23' will include a notable new feature that basically lets you build a rally car from scratch. An in-game currently system is said to facilitate the feature, which lets you buy everything right from the drivetrain itself to visual customizations at the end of the build.
The same sources told the site that 16 different car classes are present in the game currently, including "the likes of the WRC and WRC2 to the F2 Kitcar and H1 FWD". We should hear some official info on 'WRC 23' in the months after Generations launches.
That title is KT Racing's final WRC game, launching in just a few short weeks on October 13th for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
Are you looking forward to Codemasters taking over WRC? Let us know what you'd like to see down below.

Sounds fantastic! Can't wait honestly. I have hundreds of hours of Dirt Rally/Dirt Rally 2 under my belt and I love those games. Grid Legends also surprised me in a positive way. Here's hoping EA won't interfere with Codies effort.
Also, I want my legacy cars guys!
@gollumb82 Kong cant fit his hairy a** in a rally car, gollumb lol
Putting that EA money to good use i see
@J_Mo_Money
Hahah! I wish I could post that picture of a horse inside a compact car to refute your claims! I believe it was taken in Russia 😂
"An in-game currently system"
Just a heads up, but I think you mean currency system here!
Well this is interesting. I love building cars, so if this has some depth I might love it.
Definitely going to check this out
@gollumb82 I'm playing through GRID: Legends now and enjoying it immensely. The racing is top-notch but honestly the campy AF live-action narrative stitching everything together is wonderful and welcome. Don't remember ever getting into a racing game's story before - maybe Megarace from back in the day! Shout out Lance Boyle.
