Although Halo Infinite is currently 343's primary focus, it hasn't forgotten about Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
In fact, it's just delivered the game's new August update. It adds a whole host of new content to multiple games across the collection. Here's the rundown via the Halo Waypoint blog post:
- Five new Spartan armour sets for Halo 2: Anniversary
- Golden Moa campaign collectibles in Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach
- Acrophobia and Bandana skulls added to Halo: Reach
- Main menu background video customization
- New Forge options in Halo: Reach, Halo 4, and Halo 2: Anniversary (object duplication, delete all, location name markers, “hold to bake lighting,” and more)
- Career menu UI overhaul
- Post-match poses
- Unified subtitle improvements
- Live playlist hopper data refresh at weekly reset
- “Season” naming changed to “Series”
- Bug fixes
You can get a more detailed rundown in last week's breakdown.

You know, there's another game that could use some new Forge capabilities. Or, you know, any Forge capabilities...
Glad they put it in H2A and not forced it in H3 again.
Anyone can say what they want about MS (and personally I have my own gripes with them), but the effort they put in to fix and then continue to evolve Halo MCC after launch is absolutely amazing.
That said, they should've did it right to start with and avoided having to do a full recovery mission.
I don't play either, MCC nor Infinite MP, but the armor sets they are adding to MCC seem a lot cooler than the skins they adding to Infinite.
