It looks like someone at Xbox might have pressed a button a bit early or something over the weekend, as a whole bunch of Xbox Game Pass members received the unlikely notification that High On Life was "now playable" on the service!
It ended up causing a little bit of confusion, with pockets of social media threads showing up:
Unfortunately, High On Life is not playable yet on Xbox Game Pass, as it doesn't officially release until December 13th. It was originally supposed to be arriving in October, but got pushed back to December earlier this month.
We saw a significant deal of new High on Life gameplay during Gamescom week, and the game itself has been attracting lots of attention ever since. We can't wait to get hands on with it... but we'll have to wait a bit longer!
Did you get this notification over the weekend? Let us know down in the comments section below.

Wow, I think it was my imagination! I even push the notification, thinking it may be a surprise drop, but alas, it wasn't!
I was slightly surprised being told I could pre-load it. I was wondering just what there was to pre-load.
@Pac_Bot Some games allow pre downloading well before launch. If it's close enough to release date it'll download the entire game or it might download some basic files and when the game is fully ready it'll update automatically (or ask you if you have auto-updates off). It varies depending on the game.
@Zombifiedkilla some of the preloads, well before the launches of those games, end up being just ~100MB license files afaik
Guess someoneat xbox got high on something else over the weekend
