Cast your mind back a little bit, and you might remember that Ubisoft announced a bunch of Xbox 360 games that would be shutting off their servers this year. Well, EA has also been quietly announcing the same thing recently too.
The EA games that will be turning off their servers soon include a couple of Army of Two titles, multiple Command and Conquer titles and Mercenaries 2: World in Flames.
So, let's take a look at the full list of closures for 2022 so far — the ones that we know of, anyway!
September 1st, 2022
- Assassin's Creed 3 (Xbox One remaster unaffected)
- Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
- Assassin's Creed Revelations
- Driver San Francisco
- Far Cry 3 (Xbox One remaster unaffected)
- Ghost Recon Future Soldier
- Rayman Legends (Xbox One version unaffected)
- Splinter Cell: Blacklist
October 20th, 2022
November 9th, 2022
- Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3
- Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars
- Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath
- Mercenaries 2: World in Flames
There might be more Xbox 360 games added to this list over the coming weeks and months, but for now these are the confirmations we know of. In most cases, we're assuming it's just the online servers that will be affected, and not the single-player and local multiplayer portions of these games. We're also hoping most of these at least remain purchasable if they're backwards compatible on Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
We do, however, know that Ghost Recon Future Soldier will be affected even in regards to its single-player campaign, as the only way to play it in the future will be to set your console to offline mode, at least according to what Ubisoft says

As long as they provide patch to play offline I'm ok with it.
Now the question is:
How much functionality does each game lose because of this?
@InterceptorAlpha For the EA stuff from the look of it, mostly online multiplayer and some achievements.
Most achievements are doable, 1 C+C game has a "Play online multiplayer for 100 hours".
I got the 2 in AC3 this week that I gave up on 8 years ago. Level 20 in mp and the synch points from after beating the story. I got them out the way quickly but good luck to others. I'm just glad I got the ones that needed more people in 2014.
I wonder how long til AC4 gets shut down. Another year? Longer?
Since I have 2 360s and one Series X, I just might try and go for the final four. Always wanted to play coop with a buddy of mine on RA3 but never got around to it.
They should have made the 40th day backwards compatible. I loved that game to death
