Activision has revealed all the juicy deets for Call of Duty: Warzone & Vanguard Season 5; the final effort before the series moves on to Modern Warfare 2 & Warzone 2. Things are getting pretty mental in the final season to be honest, as CoD goes into full nostalgia mode with crossovers.
Leading the way is Season 5's cover star: classic villain Raul Menendez. The iconic figure, from 2012's Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, returns as the main operator for the new content drop. However, the nostalgia doesn't stop there.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is also getting in on the act. The Modern Warfare villain, Khaled Al-Asad, will also feature in the new season, alongside Black Ops 3's Seraph and Gabriel Rorke, from Call of Duty: Ghosts. There's even a laser beam weapon in here from Advanced Warfare, because, why not?!
It's all a bit of a mish-mash then, before the series gets a sort-of reboot with 'Call of Duty Next'. Still, it's kind of cool to see all the games and subseries' cross over, with Call of Duty beginning to mix and match its previously-defined eras. All of this classic content begins to rollout in Vanguard & Warzone next week, on August 24th.
Will you be jumping into this new season to check out the classic content? Let us know!

Out of all of the possible operators to make it to Vanguard, I'm slightly surprised that Pierson from WWII never made the cut. WWII's ending had him returning to war and Vanguard is meant to be the sequel since Howard's brother is an operator. Guess Josh is all-in on The Callisto Protocol.
I wish the battle passes worked for more than the most recent game. I don't really play Warzone and I still prefer Black Ops 2020 over Vanguard by far, so I have been unlocking a bunch of BP rewards on it, but never use them... But that's my own issue.
