Microsoft Is Starting To Give Away Free Gift Cards For The Xbox Summer Sale 2022

Here we go again! Microsoft is giving out free Xbox Gift Cards to celebrate the Xbox Summer Sale 2022 (otherwise known as the "Ultimate Game Sale"), although the initial rollout has been handled a little differently this time around.

Instead of deploying the free gift cards in the US or UK, for example, we've spotted these freebies showing up in the likes of Australia, Mexico and Brazil. In fact, one of our staffers here at Pure Xbox also received one in Australia earlier today! Bizarrely, these gift cards also have an invalid expiry date of June 30th, although most people who have received them are reporting that their accounts have been credited despite the mistake.

It remains to be seen whether these free gift cards will extend to other countries over the coming days, but the Xbox Summer Sale doesn't end until July 31st, so there's every chance the rollout might continue this weekend or next week.
