This is actually pretty much what I want out of coop in an open world environment. I like that all progress carries for all characters, as well as unlocked gear, and the distance zone is bigger than I expected just from the standpoint of thinking how big the world is and the difficulties in rendering separate environments when characters are split up. I’m good with this. It’ll be fun!
Still bummed about the tiny play radius. Would have figured that delay on its release would net something more complete. Makes it seem more like cooping in the open world will be pointless. A mission replay only deal, or the coop players just sitting around on passenger seats.
Especially when you take in consideration you cover that distance in a few seconds while flying. And if you have any skill with traversing with the grapple and the other player lags behind for even a second, they'll be killed off due to it.
Also, I can't be the only person that was hoping the coop players could play as their custom Spartans, so everyone is unique kinda like Halo 3(Chief, Arbiter, and two different elites) and Reach.
Was a pretty awful live stream. We need bungie back.
Is xbox back up. Couldnt even access my games last night
From the stream mission replay looks exactly how I'd hope it would be, looking forward to getting the rest of the skulls whenever the update goes live.
Ohh,a beta for a year delayed major feature of a year delayed game.
By the time they formally release this it'll be backlogged behind half life 3...
@xMightyMatt14x The only problem is it should have been there at launch. There are many people who will likely never know that this was added in as if it were a second thought. They are going to need a lot of advertising to re-promote the game with these features that should have been there in the first place.
@iplaygamesnstuff I get you. I actually feel optimistic about Halos future more now than after Halo 5 though. The gameplay is a much better blend of the classic formula with modern inspiration. The story was simple but to me actually was a good reboot style setup for more. It’s definitely been annoying waiting for all of this. But honestly I feel like in 2025, it’s gonna be a great ongoing package. Since it’s designed to be like that, with updates over a decade or more, I’ve been okay with waiting for some things here and there. But I do get a lot of the frustration.
Looks great! A shame most of my friends are PlayStation only nowadays :/ I hope they add a neat match up feature, so that I can wreck havoc with strangers easily.
