The game is awesome! I’ve been playing all morning with my 6-year-old daughter before I go to work. It’s embarrassing but she is much better at the game than me, but I’ll get back in the groove of things. The soundtrack is also phenomenal. There is so much replayability, too. I can’t wait to have a day off work so I can sink some more time in this game.
Going to play after work
@GunValkyrian I got in on Game Pass but I also bought it on my PS5 to support the devs.
Got it downloading right now so it will be ready when I get off of work. I also ordered a copy for Switch from LGR.
I can’t find it when I search for it.
@BlackMayge I got it on Game Pass, but will purchase the PS4 physical edition to support the devs as well. They REEEEEEEALLY did their homework from the gameplay to the soundtrack. Gotta support folks like them.
@Rafie @BlackMayge You do realize that even by playing the game on Gamepass you support the Devs. The only way to not support the devs is by not playing the game.
Bought physical on Switch, and played a good chunk of this with two friends this morning, game is an absolute triumph of a beat ‘em up.
@Tasuki Meaning monetary wise. I want them to see monetary growth as well. That would also show them just how much we love the game they've created.
Such a fantastic game
@Rafie You realize that they do get money from Gamepass games. That's what the sub that you pay each month goes to.
@Tasuki Sir I'm aware that Xbox paid them a lot of money to get this game on Game Pass. So they (Dotemu) will see not how much the consumer paid, but just how many people are playing their game through Game Pass. I want them to see how many people purchased their game without the Game Pass data. That's the avenue I'm approaching with this. You understand where I'm coming from?
Been playing it all evening, really good and fun. Will play on gamepass until I get paid then will buy it.
I downloaded it, cowabunga!
@Rafie that's virtually unknowable because how many people would have bought it if it wasn't available via Game Pass? It's the second highest selling game on Switch eShop in NA. Idk about other shops or regions, but I doubt it isn't similar to sales on other platforms. And frankly, it isn't really your problem to know how much it affected their income. Sure, It's good to know that it sold well. But at the end of the day, what can you do about it if it didn't?
I do literally mean "you," btw.
The intro is great, was it made for the video game? Because it looks authentically 90s cartoon with film grain and all. I should finally watch the cartoon in my 30s LOL.
@IronMan30 Omg I don't know what's so hard about me saying that I want to see them flourish here. It's not virtually impossible for them to see sales. What are you talking about?!
So, I never said it was my problem to know their sales number. I'm simply just curious to know how much it will sell due to the high demand of this game.
I'm not sure if you thought I was being facetious or something. Again, I'm simply just excited about the game and it's possible future feats.
I played the first 3 stages on my lunch break today. The nostalgia is strong here- TMNT the Arcade game was one of my favorite childhood video games and Turtles in Time had a semi permanent spot in my snes.
@Rafie I get what your saying but in the end money is money it doesn't matter where it comes from as long as the devs get their money. They are a business after all.
@Rafie No, what I meant was you won't know how Game Pass affect sales. In any case, I wasn't trying to be aggressive or anything. I was just saying it's not something to lose sleep over. At the end of the day, it's your life and you feel how you want.
Played it online last night. Game is fun for what it is. I dunno if the host had it set on easy but we basically just steam rolled through a couple of levels with 6 players. You can get by just by pressing X. Probably a perfect game to play co op with the girlfriend.
@IronMan30 @Tasuki Okay gentlemen. I appreciate the insight. I'm not sure if you both fully understood that it's not a need for me to see sale numbers. Only that I'm curious to know how much it would do outside of GamePass. Especially for folks who has GamePass, but still want to support the devs even more by purchasing the game. Again...it's because this was one of the most sought after titles for 2022. I digress.
Again, I appreciate the responses.
There’s something very wrong with this listing in the store here in the UK. It doesn’t show up. I just downloaded it because I saw it on the dashboard in a recent added to game pass list. But a manual search in the store for TEENAGE MUTANT just brings up the cowabunga collection pre order and the Manhattan game that’s no longer available. Searching for SHREDDER just brings up the snowboarding game.
I was planning on buying it not just playing on game pass but I’d never be able to find it to download again. I hope this gets fixed. Anyone else UK based having the same issue ?
@Scenes Select the game icon, press the menu button, select Game Card and Show in Microsoft Store. This is how I check the price of Game Pass games.
@Banjo- sure. I can do that. But with it not coming up in search, even if I bought it. Would it show up in my games list? If I delete it now I’m not sure how I’d ever download it again 😅
@Scenes I just tried to do the search. This must be a bug that they should fix soon!
@Banjo- that’s good it’s not just me. That makes me feel better. 😀
@Scenes 😁👍🏻
@Rafie It's all good. I was just confused. I mean I can understand downloading it on Gamepass to play and then wanting a physical copy for your collection but to say that you are buying a physical copy to support the devs implied that just because people download it on Gamepass they don't support the devs which is just a misconception.
@Tasuki Definitely not what I meant. It's just how you took it. Still looking back at my comment, I can see why you took it that way. I should have added "to support them MORE" versus an unintended misinterpretation. Like I was implying that people who play it on GamePass don't support the dev. Most certainly not my intention. Glad we got that out the way. I'll be more mindful of my wording next time.
