As you might have already seen, American distributor Limited Run Games is now producing physical releases for Xbox.
Apart from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, there are 10 other physical games "coming soon" to Xbox. If this wasn't already enough, Limited Run Games founder, Josh Fairhurst, has now teased two more "unannounced upcoming releases" for the Xbox One platform.
Here's his social media message in full:
"We got our first two Xbox One test discs in the mail today (both are unannounced upcoming releases that people will be very excited about). After seven years of trying to get on the platform, it's surreal to finally be holding a physical Xbox game we're publishing!"
Some of the other Xbox physical releases on the way from LRG include DOOM 64, A Boy and His Blob: Retro Collection, River City Girls 2, Shadowrun Trilogy, and Tetris Effect: Connected.
What else would you like to see receive a physical release on Xbox? Comment down below.

Goldeneye? If that is ever coming out.
They should really do reprints of older games that are hard to find nowadays. Wonder if these are gonna be limited amounts with less demand for xbox physical as xbox didnt even care to make a psychonauts 2 for one of their only series generation games that they bought
So they've finally got games for a 10 year old system that's been supplanted by the Series X?
GoldenEye. It has to be.
Self hype specialists claim they have stuff “their fans” will be excited about…. NEVER.
Forza Horizon 5? Halo Infinite campaign? Any other first party game where Microsoft did not care enough to even put the game on the disc? Would be nice.
Would like a physical version of Psychonauts 2 or Battletoads.
@BeautyandtheBeer did horizon 5 not get a disc version?!?!?
@Stocksy It technically did yes but considering it was a game at over 100gb they only put like 27gb on 1 disc (did not even fill the disc!) so you had to download the rest. They could have put 2 discs in there (Rockstar did with GTA5 Series X release) but nope.
@BeautyandtheBeer that’s not cool didn’t realise that. Makes purchasing the disk pointless. I own all the Forza games on disk for future playing reasons. Although tbh at this point most are patched so heavily a load of content will be missing or worse when servers are turned off the game won’t work anyway.
I think Horizon 4&5 fall into this category? It’s a real shame. Such good games that even solo player are brilliant and shouldn’t be lost forever especially as Forza games get delisted fairly quickly.
@Stocksy Yeah I have them all on disc as well apart from FH5 since MS would rather I rent it through GP.
I believe with 4 at least it is 'playable' via just disc but a large amount amount of textures and the like won't be there I believe.
I wish they're was a way to get the Sega Genesis shadow run on Xbox
