Xbox Wire has revealed a little more info about the Indie Live Expo 2022, and the platform's involvement in the showcase. To mark the occasion, Xbox is hosting an Indie Live Expo sale, which is currently ongoing as part of this week's Xbox deals.
The post also details what the showcase will deliver, and we're especially interested in day two of the event. On May 22nd, the 'Premiere' portion of the showcase will take place, delivering "world premieres of brand-new, unannounced games, and new information on previously announced games".
It doesn't look like Xbox is hosting any part of the show itself — the livestream links head to other channels — but given their involvement in marketing it, along with the sale, we'd expect some sort of involvement from Team Xbox.
That could be new Game Pass reveals, perhaps even shadow drops for Xbox's subscription service. Of course, it could just mean some more Japanese indies coming to Xbox, but we'll take that too!
Day one of the showcase, focusing on already-released games, takes place May 21 at 2:30am PDT / 5:30am EDT / 10:30am BST. Day two goes ahead May 22, at the same timings as day one. If you're interested in tuning in despite the early start times, you can watch the showcase on Twitch, YouTube and Twitter.
What Japanese indies do you want to see come to Xbox? Let us know down below!

AI: Somnium Files sequel coming to Game Pass at launch. That's what I'm keeping my fingers crossed for. Decent chance too with all the Spike Chunsoft games making their way to Game Pass lately.
Here we go Xbox 👌💚
Wishing for Tiny Metal coming to XBOX.🤞
Xbox really should push hard on the Japan indie scene and do a shutgun approach at signing exclusive publishing deals. It would come a long way to make GamePass and Xbox popular brands in Japan, plus gamers into weeb games like myself would definitively appreciate the added Japanese games.
What classes as Japanese indie though, do Falcom games like trails of cold steel count or NIS games like neptunia etc would be a big step to get those types of games and would be easy to do to just use the ps4/ps5 versions
@UltimateOtaku91 Here is a Nintendo Life roundup of last year's event, if you want to have an idea what kind of games show up there:
