Update (Fri 10th Jun): Xbox's Aaron Greenberg has now officially confirmed that the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase 2022 has a running time of 95 minutes, as you can see in his tweet below:
Original (Wed 4th May): Late last month we finally got news of Xbox's next big showcase, with Microsoft standing firm in its usual E3 spot next month. The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase takes place June 12th at 10am PT / 1pm EST / 6pm BST, but, how long will the livestream actually be?
For now it's looking like another 90 minute show, just like last year. By adding the showcase to your Outlook calendar via the Xbox website, its overall length is revealed as 90 minutes. For instance, here in the UK, the calendar slot runs from 6pm through 7:30pm.
With that in mind, we're left wondering how Xbox will manage to cram everything in to be honest! Naturally, Bethesda is set to have a huge presence at the show, including some solid time dedicated to its upcoming RPG, Starfield. The showcase's promotional image says as much!
Then, there are all of Xbox's other first party teams, some of which have been working on upcoming Xbox games for years now. Forza Motorsport, Fable, Gears 6, who knows what might show up, but we suspect Xbox has a real task on its hands slotting everything in to a 90 minute show. Regardless, we're rather excited for June 12th. Let the countdown begin!
Did you expect this year's Xbox showcase to be longer than 90 minutes? Let us know in the comments!

Meaty. Can't get here faster.
Wondering how many times the words 'Game Pass' are shown or mentioned - 20? 30? 90?
I just really hope they avoid the "talking heads circle jerk", waxing lyrical about power and consumer numbers... when it comes to pointless fluff like that MS are the absolute worst for it. Just make it lean and focus on games, chaps.
Here’s to hoping we see something on either Avowed or Fable. My bet is on Avowed. That’s a quality, well run studio. I’d imagine by now they have at least an intro to gameplay to show, even if it’s still a ways away.
Thats a long time to talk about catapults
I hope it's as good as last year's show. That was, imo, MS' best E3 ever. Sure, this isn't E3 but it might as well be.
I'm really excited for this event!
@Rmg0731 Lol. Got there before me with the Trebuchet meme!
Jokes aside massively looking forward to this. Starfield Deep dive + Replaced + Avowed or FONV2 + a few surprises and i'm happy.
Trying to keep my expectations low, there’s so much potential but they need a strong list of coming 2023 games to make up for the drout so far this year.
Forza as well as Starfield and Redfall would be strong end but unless they are shadow dropping redfall it’s all going to be last quarter releases.
@themightyant Avowed i hope will be there, im hoping for 2023 release date for that, Fonv2 i doubt will come soon, or at least not from obsidian. They are working on grounded, avowed, pentiment and the outerworlds 2, so i doubt Fonv2 actually is in development or it might be from a different studio
June 12th, 6pm bst? Okay, I'll be here june 13th. Can't wait.
It's gonna be 90 minutes and then there will be deep dive shows with Paris and such for Xbox and Bethesda. It's definitely the best format. Make the longer in depth optional for those that want to see it. All about options
@Lavalera Yep FONV2 is a long shot because I wants it!
Feel quite strongly that you should only have max. one CG teaser then show gameplay so hopefully next time we see Starfield/Avowed/Fable/Perfect Dark/a plague tale 2 Etc we should get a glimpse of gameplay and an idea of what the game actually is going to be.
Also exited in the indie space, last year Replaced,
Atomic Heart and others looked great, more surprise like those
With all the first party studios they now own plus the inclusion of Bethesda's segment I'm pretty sure there won't be much third party content but hopefully they cut out the high amount of indies that were shown in last year's showcase and actually show gameplay trailers instead of CGI
That is a long runtime! I sort of expect a lot from it now.
Sp pumped for this showcase man, Let's freaking go..
I'm really hoping to see some more Forza Motorsport. As for my longshot, which I believe will sadly never come, Final Fantasy 7 Remake.
One can only dream.
The only real e3 event left. Well, this and Devolver, 😂
Almost perfect length. Geoff3 needs to learn often less is more, his show dragged again and needed shortening.
We really need e3 back but this is the best we have this summer, let's hope for some good announcements
4K/ray tracing version of Windows 95 for XBOX X/S confirmed.
Every year I get my hopes up at these events and every year I’m usually disappointed. I’m not going to expect much this time.
