So, the rumour was true! Arma Reforger has launched for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S today in the form of an Xbox Game Preview title, but if you don't fancy paying for it, you can even access a free trial for the game right now!
All you need to do is head over to Arma Reforger's official page on the Xbox store (either via browser or console), locate the "Get Free Trial" button next to the paid option, and then select it to begin downloading the game.
- Arma Reforger (Xbox Game Preview) - £24.99 / $29.99 (Xbox Store Link)
It's still early days, so we're not 100% sure what this free trial for Arma Reforger includes, but usually this means you get access to the full version of the game for a certain period of time - probably a couple of hours at most.
In any case, it's a great excuse to download the game and see if it lives up to the hype, and if it does, you can pick up the Xbox Game Preview version for £24.99 / $29.99, with the early access period expected to last about a year.

I have been waiting for arma to come to console for ever! Downloading now.
Hmm won't this game be pretty dead then if it's not on gamepass...I'm assuming it's known for multiplayer ?
Doubt many people will pay for it even if the trial is decent
Will give it a go
So is it a FPS like CoD or Battlefield??
@Tasuki yes and no. It's a tactical and realistic shooter. You die from one bullet and all that, basically a military sim
Is it just me or is it sad that an article about a free trial has to be published? I'm not criticising the (quite frankly brilliant) PX team instead, the idea of having to invest £50+ on a game that you might not like. Sure, you can see gameplay online but it's not the same until you play it yourself.
I know you can sometimes get a refund if you've played so little of a game but there's 3 issues with that: Not many people know about that, it's a hassle, and you can't play enough to know if the games for you in that short window.
Surely, these AAA games should all be coming with free 30 minute - 1 hour demos, right?
@Tasuki @Zucaritas Basically it’s like a modern-day setting of Hell Let Loose, I’ve yet to try the free trial but that’s what I thought it looked like from the trailer in the article.
@MaccaMUFC I guess so, also similar to Insurgency Sandstorm
Just FYI. This is a six hour trial so pretty generous!
I’ve just had a few matches and I can say that it definitely doesn’t look or play like it shows in the trailer. I realise the game is in preview and it does look good despite not being finished but it has an inconsistent frame rate, the camera movement and animations are janky. I just can’t justify paying £24.99 for it in it’s current state. I’m going to save what time I have left of the trial and try it when it’s out of game preview.
In the meantime I’ll just go back to Hell Let Loose for my mil sim fix, plus the new update has just came out for it and it’s really good.
@Zucaritas I have Insurgency Sandstorm and I do see the similarities. I’ll have to give it another go seeing as the new Operation Glasshouse update as just released. For now though Hell Let Loose is still the best of its kind imo.
@StylesT cod or battlefield 2042 aren't on game pass and they sell in their millions. Its a very different game tho, military sim. Think it will do well. I'm enjoying the trial so far.
The trial is 6 hours. Quite healthy amount to get used to it and you need that time. Dont expect cod or Bf. Loving the tactics and voip
ARMA is the kind of game I think I'd like to play, but I'd really need to be a part of a big group who know what they're doing. I love watching videos of these massive multiplayer operations, but, the same as with a regular war, unless you've got disciplined and well commanded troops it just turns into a hot mess.
