Awesome! Day one!
Can you play Sonic 1-3 WITH the Knuckles bits? like you could in the original cartridges?
UPDATE: It appears you can
@Xiovanni THIS! To me the whole package seems sparse. They could and should include more for that entrance fee
Any water left in the bucket?
Are they really splitting out game features and calling them the deluxe version? That’s just killed any enthusiasm for this.
I think June 23rd is the day before Fire Emblem Three Hopes, AI Nirvana Initiative, and Capcom Fighting Collection is set to come out. I’m hoping to get all three of those on release date, so I’m going to have to pass on this one. Maybe I’ll get it later.
I am a huge Megadrive sonic fan. I still play 1-3 every year at some point. However the deluxe nonsense should be in the proper game.
Fed up with 'special editions' it's getting worse and worse.
This looks sooooo good. I played these games religiously as a kid, and my step daughter is getting interested in the games because she adores the latest movies. I’m pretty excited to show her these games.
There is a "Start Dash Pack" if you pre-order. I will get one edition or the other and I'm not upset because it's been a long while but I agree that the editions and bonuses are confusing. I still don't know which one to get and if it's worth pre-ordering. Anyway, this is my game of the year. The little extras and options (classic, anniversary...) look nice. I'm relieved to see that the new versions run and look perfectly fine! I was disappointed with the level design and music of the fan-made new areas of Sonic Mania so I can't wait to dive into the very best of the series. I just realised that this is the first time you can play Sonic The Hedgehog as Knuckles.
Buying it for sure, but all these other editions are needless.
Too expensive and no physical version... No, thank you
So the deluxe edition gets you animated menus, and a letterbox background??? That's the most bizarre and weak "bonuses" I've ever heard. Characters and levels as DLC like Sonic Mania is one thing, but they've stripped out the most minor of "features" and put a premium on them to fork over another $5.
I’m happy to see this happen but what the hell is Sega smoking? $40!! For 4 games? Now, if it had Sonic R, spinball, 3D Blast and a few others then maybe.
