Sniper Elite 5 is the upcoming entry in Rebellion's long-running shooter series, and this one hits Xbox Game Pass on day one! We're only about two months out from launch as well, so naturally, we've been treated to a new trailer.
As has become the norm for the series, expect guts and gore; lots of it! The trailer showcases some pretty disgusting new x-ray effects and yeah, we're absolutely looking forward to causing havoc with our bolt action rifles to be honest.
There's a few new locations and weapons shown in here too, as the fifth entry heads over to WW2-striken France in 1944. The developer has also added a new first person viewpoint, to provide a more tactile experience when using secondary weapons.
Sniper Elite has always been defined by its authentic gunplay and we wanted to take that to the next level for Sniper Elite 5 [...] We have concentrated on enhancing the character and feel of our weapons, including the addition of an ‘Ironsights’ perspective for pistols and secondary weapons such as SMGs.
Sniper Elite 5 launches day one on Xbox Game Pass for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, on May 26th.
Will you be jumping into this one at launch? It's looking like another corker for Game Pass!

I love these games don't get me wrong... but it looks exactly like the other ones.
@OliverOwen Same here! I'm really looking forward to playing this but everything they've shown of the game looks to be more of the same Visually at least, it doesn't appear to be any different from SE4. I'm not one to get my trousers in a twist about frame rates and such, so as long as the general gameplay has had a bit of a polish then I'll be happy.
@Barry_Biscuits Agreed, It looks amazing and visually stunning, and i will play it anyways because I am a fan, but it doesnt seem like they did much to it except the story.
I would like it if they had a new era. I’ve played 2 of these and the Zombie spin-off and I think a modern version would add a lot to the series.
