Ubisoft's fantastic Riders Republic is part of the current set of Xbox weekly deals, but if you're still on the fence about whether to buy it, you'll get a chance to play it for free with Xbox Live Gold from this Thursday to Sunday.
The trial (which is also available on other platforms) will run from February 10th to February 13th, and it will include access to the full game. You can't officially pre-load it on Xbox prior to the 10th, but if you head to the Xbox mobile app and search for the game, you'll find a "Download to Console" option which will allow you to pre-load it.
If you want to buy the game after you're done playing the trial, it's got a 50% discount right now on Xbox, with the sale seemingly set to last until next Tuesday. All progress from the free weekend will transfer over to the paid version.
We've loved Riders Republic during our time with it here at Pure Xbox, giving it an "Excellent" 9/10 score in our review, and calling it "a fantastic open world sports game that delivers big on massively multiplayer arcade mayhem."
Will you be checking out Riders Republic on Xbox this weekend? Let us know in the comments below.

Great game riddled with bugged features and mechanics. I do hope they can figure out what is wrong with collision during multiplayer races. The big crux of this game is if you are playing live. The game can dead halt you in the middle of a race by bumping into another player. On top of that there is a rewind feature that is also broken where as to rewinding will just put you back into position to fail again and wash rinse repeat the same crash over and over and over unless you rewind to the point where just restarting is your best option.
That being said, if you want a great game to sandbox and have fun this game is perfect. The in game store is to be desired and needs work but just cosmetics.
Not really free if I have to install the Ubi Connect app to play it.
I had a lot of fun with this but it gets really boring after a while. I just hate the way they setup navigating the open world and events. You can only fast travel to a select few locations which makes it unnecessarily time consuming to freeroam where you want. They have a fast travel anywhere feature, but they call it helicopter drops and charge you for each one making it essentially useless.
Worst for me is how it's just unnecessarily difficult for me to just do an event whenever, I have to seek them out on the map and it feels like there isn't nearly as much as I would have liked.
That said I did manage to beat the game, but I just get so bored these days thanks to the predatory fast travel system that feels designed to make getting around a grind. They used to give you the option for unlimited fast travel in Steep, but that doesn't seem to be an option here. It's the only reason why I enjoyed coming back to Steep once in a while.
@JayJ I recently played Ridge Racer 6. Just a menu with one track after the other.
I miss those days.
What you wrote is the sane thing that hallend to me in Forza Horizon 5. i just could not get bothered any more at some point.
