One of the most anticipated Xbox games of 2022 is Bethesda's Starfield. While the Xbox company has already shared a fair bit of concept artwork of the game, it's now uploaded a much more colourful shot on its official Twitter account.
This one isn't a shot of a space station or barren planet, it's actually a jungle biome - with Bethesda noting how players can look forward to discovering many unique environments, filled with lush and abundant life.
Starfield is currently scheduled to arrive on 11th November next year on Xbox Series X|S, PC and Xbox Cloud. When it lands, it will take players on a journey through space as they strive to answer humanity's greatest mystery.
What do you think of this latest concept art? Is this a game you're looking forward to getting your hands on? Tell us below.

Please, Todd, don't 76 this....
This game is supposed to launch in 10 months and we are still seeing only concept art? Those Biomes really are 16x the ...
Enough with the concept art, just show us a gameplay trailer or atleast a trailer of in game footage of the areas, give us something to atleast shows its still coming in 2022
I love concept art. Especially environmental art generally after the game is released. Love to see the direction that was conceptualised vs the finished product. God of War 2018 had some beautiful art. Starfield is set for 2022 and I have no idea what the game is other than the setting? What can the player do? Beyond so CG settings and concept, We have seen zero gameplay and I am sure MS is going to have a huge E3 blowout but I am becoming more uneasy with this making 2022 especially since the pandemic is going nowhere.
This game is going to be awesome
I'm keeping my expectations low as there's nothing at all of the actual game. After the top to bottom debacle that was Fallout 76s release I'm not going to buy into anything they do. If it'll be on Game Pass I can wait until it actually comes out to decide if its worth while.
I have a feeling they’ll finally show gameplay for this and it’ll look like Fallout 4 in space 🤣
This is the problem developers have, they show stuff too early people bitch, they don’t show anything until near release, people bitch. We should just relax and judge what we see when the devs show it, that’s what I do anyway.
That looks LOVELY and atmospheric. Completely different to anything we've seen before. I'm so hyped for this, but trying to keep my feet, and expectations, firmly on the ground.
I've been replaying Skyrim (Anniversary) recently, having not really played much since launch ten years ago. For all the memes about Skyrim re-releasing on everything from smartwatches to fridges, few games have really scratched that itch in the same way in the decade between. Returning to Skyrim has only highlighted that.
I expect this to be different in many ways, but similar in terms of scope. Here's hoping. Fingers firmly crossed.
@Fenbops I don't think FO4 deserves the amount of criticism it received. The biggest issue for me was having a voice for the main character which very likely affected the dialogue choices/branching.
Hopefully they are taking their time and getting this right. I'd be happy to wait longer and get something that resembles a complete game vs something that looks like it's been thrown together by a developer for a demo and then the team leads decided that they'd just roll with it.
Looks lovely. They're either super confident in what they have...or they're setting themselves up for a fall. Should just stay quiet until they can show gameplay now
@ISD1982 I didn’t like it but know people who do. I was more talking about graphically though, even when it released FO4 didn’t look great.
When we see some real gameplay and action etc
I will get excited. Have learnt over the last two years that PR smoke and mirrors is in full force lately.
There are some exceptions like FH5 and HZDFW, but the difference there is you can see the confidence in the developers and that the games are well ready for release etc.
Rather see gameplay, I really can't get to excited for Starfield I still get the feeling it's gonna be running on the same engine as Skyrim was.
@Rural-Bandit Deathloop wasn't Bethesda as a developer though Arkane made that
@Fenbops very much the same feeling here my dude
@Rural-Bandit I sure hope so, but I guess we'll see next year. At least anyone who is considering pre-ordering any Bethesda games should probably hold off. Though pre-orders are meaningless these days anyway.
Fallout 76 wasn't developed by the 'core' Bethesda Team, but yeah don't fck this up Todd.... really looking forward to it.
@Rural-Bandit again not made by Bethesda and they were the ones who would have told MG to rush Wolfenstein just like they did with Obsidian for Fallout New Vegas. I don't remember any Bethesda developed games that have been polished right back to Oblivion on 360 and Skyrim still has the same bugs as it did back at launch in 2011 in the special editions for PS4/XB1. If your looking forward to Starfield after the CG teaser awesome but I need to see footage of it being played before it's even on my radar, the same with a lot of games that have been revealed with CG trailers over the last few years.
@Rural-Bandit when have I whined and I've never mentioned Halo? All im waiting on actual footage of the game I'm hoping that it's on a new engine rather than the modified one they've used since Morrowind, I have no doubt that Starfield will be a big deal given there track record of Elder Scrolls & Fallout but those games have massive flaws technically. I don't treat GP like a free hit I won't just play something because its part of the service.
@Rural-Bandit I'm actually really enjoying Halo it's my first since the original Xbox, I'm surprised by how much I like it, ✌🏻
