Unless you've been living under a rock, Forza Horizon 5 has been met with fantastic reviews. The result has marked it one of 2021's best-reviewed titles, making it a huge critical success. Its glowing praise has even reached as far as the realms of PlayStation, as one executive has congratulated Xbox on the game's launch.
After Phil Spencer celebrated Mexico being the setting of Forza Horizon 5, PlayStation's very own Shuhei Yoshida, who works at bolstering indie titles on the platform, congratulated Spencer on the game's launch. He also added he'll be playing the game and will enjoy visiting Mexico.
It's always heartwarming to see these exchanges, and it appears to be happening more frequently in the industry. It occured not too long ago with Psychonauts 2 and we'll never tire of seeing these friendly interactions between the competitors.
Excited to play Forza Horizon 5? Let us know in the comments below.

Nice to see the big three congratulating each other over the last few months
Now whens the playboxendo coming out
@SplooshDmg That would be hilarious ! Especially when we know that these guys are actual gamers and not just corporate men (talking about Shu and Phil, here, off course that Cory is a gamer too !)
By the way, am I the only one who thinks that the character of PADUK in Gears 5 has been designed to look like Phil Spencer ? I'm discovering the game right now and it kinda flashed me, when I met him around the beginning of the third act.
This character definitly looks like him, or is it me ? XD
See this makes fanboy wars pointless sony or microsoft dont care if your are a diehard fan of there system. Oh and i am playing Forza horizon 5 now and i'm enjoying it.
It's like that scene in Rocky where Balboa ends the cold war with that great speech "if I can change, you can change"
Either way it's nice to see the big guys congratulating each other
Oh dear itβs time to get the big executives a room again. I prefer a bit of war, more fun and less sticky. π
Of course he does because he's a decent human being and the industry is small. They mostly all know each other.
@SplooshDmg I love that! All particularly good dudes.
Love seeing stuff like this
Shu is one of the Sony execs I actually like as he is a gamer at heart.
@SplooshDmg
Not a real war, just some fun.
I stay off the other channels now else
I get in a rumble. π
Love my PS5 β it's like my first-born... But, man, am I glad to have gotten a Series X ...
I like seeing stuff like this gd on them, now all we need is fans of the consoles to be as nice to each other and we are sorted ....wake up stop dreaming
Nice to see the PlayStation guys chiming in on the success.
Especially since we can all relate to Shu being an avid gamer himself.
@eagletrippin same mate. Had every Playstation, this is my first Xbox. Gamepass is great! Lookin forward to FH5!!!
Oh course, it's Shu! The only gamer left in the PlayStation C suite, even if they keep him locked in the basement now. He's the one guy left there that make it feel like a community still.
@NEStalgia Maybe he's cool with it. It gives him more time to game and get paid for it.
@UltimateOtaku91 playboxendo...ha, microtransaction filled, pay to win, broken rushed out, raised online paywalled, Β£100 games....but, least they tweet happy birthday and smiley faces to each other!
Will probably be the first game I get when I'm finally able to find a Series X in stores.
@KilloWertz haha, yeah I keep getting the "IDGAF anymore" vibe from him. Last week was "hey guys, check out HZD running on my new Steam Deck!" This week it's "ready for fh5 on my XSX!"
The only thing he never talks about are indies on PlayStation.... Which is technically what he's supposed to be doing....
