These, along with the Halo beta do not appear to be live yet... Can't wait to try them!
Gears of War Ultimate edition sticks out to me on that list. Might be time to jump in again.
This is fantastic! I would love more 360 FPS Boost games in the future but these are a great start. Sonic at 60fps is gonna be a treat
Keep them coming, Microsoft, keep them coming...
I hope the frame rate boost on Ff XIII-2 helps with the slide show issue
The original Gears trilogy at 60fps 🤤
Welp. Time to replay Binary Domain.
It is one of those oddball good games like Spec Ops: The Line.
Wish you could´ve bought Max Payne 3 digital...
I've seen comparisons with the original Nier and the 360 looks better.
Now with the FPS boost, that's another big advantage for 360 classic Nier.
Unfortunately, the 360 version is also pretty hard to find compared to the PS3 version.
@GamerDad66 You can buy it digitally:

HELL YES! Sonic Unleashed time!
Okay, I really do need to dig out Oblivion. I found the og Gears trilogy in my house over the weekend so when I beat 5 I'll play those.
I tried to play judgement the other day and i just couldn't with that horrible frame rate, This gives me a reason to try it again..
Not sure why they bothered giving Chicken Little a FPS boost but whatever.
My favourite BC feature. Enjoyed replaying so many games at 60fps. Looking forward do a whole bunch more. Very strong list
Gears of War Ultimate and Sonic Racing Transformed at 60FPS? Don’t mind if I do!
Shame they couldn't add it to more but i can't complain at Fallout 3 and NV getting it.
Fallout 3, New Vegas, Dragon Age Origins, Dead Space 2 (not 1?), Gears of War 1, these are some of my all time favourites so that’s awesome. Also might check out this version of Nier instead of the remake as I’m cheap. Hopefully these aren’t just series x updates and include series s though, otherwise never mind I guess.
This is amazing, I'm still halfway new vegas and wanted to play dragon age. This is games preservation done right
Gears 2 and Mirror’s Edge! 😍😍😍
@Bmartin001 I've found it playable on X1 but to each their own.
That's a seriously good list. I'm surprised about FF13 sequels.....but not base FF13, huh? That thing has some seriously bad frame dips on series x.
It was hard to enjoy Fallout 3 and New Vegas after playing in 60+fps. Great news!
I'm not seeing the FPS boost option enabled on games like Dragon Age Origins yet. Is this already rolled out?
Still have Alan Wake to finish so 60fps is VERY welcome.
Restart your Xbox
Interesting that they would agree on giving games like Far Cry 3 the FPS boost treatment even when we can buy Far Cry 3 for current generation consoles. Say what you will about Ubisoft, they respect customers that gave them money, and dont nickle and dime them demanding they buy stuff again.
@NEStalgia Maybe its harder for FFXIII because that BC game was given a special treatment that increased its resolution all around, so it might not be idling as much as the others.
Hell yeah, two Sonic games in 60 fps !! YES !!!
Oh, and time to dig out my good old 360 disc of NIER <3
Honestly, I found all of this 20th celebration wonderfull.
Really, really happy, here.
Hi there fellow gamers @SplooshDmg @InterceptorAlpha @LX_FENIX
The entire Gears of War games and Binary Domain in sweet 60 fps? That is awesome. Some of the best TPS games out there in my opinion. Gears of War 3 is my favourite of the franchise and Binary Domain was a really good surprise.
Really good news for Xbox Series X/S.
Cheers, stay safe everyone and happy gaming to us all
@RaZieLDaNtE dude Binary Domain too, i wanted that for backcompat for so long and to get it and get it at 60fps! It makes me more ok with not getting other games i wanted.
@Originut There's a lot of weird stuff like that. Like Fable 1 and 3 getting the fps boost but not Fable 2. Same with FF13. Wonder why 🤔
@Originut
I wonder if EA stopped them since they are remaking Dead Space 1 for next gen consoles?
Fantastic updates from Xbox, might be time for me to pick up a Series X at last.
@Originut @blinx01, you both are probably right, they have to get the permission from the publisher and or developer to tinker with the fps, maybe they didn't sign off on it due to the remake in development, so the remake can shine even more in comparison with the old version. But overall impressive list, got some of those old disc's somewhere in a box, time to dust them off... Assassin's Creed , Far Cry 3 and F.E.A.R for sure, original AC on 60fps could be fun again....
@LX_FENIX What I understand is that they use a very special technique to get those fps boost to work, they don't alter the game in anyway, just trick the game into performing better somehow. They also said that this technique basically isn't working on every game, they went out of their way for Dark Souls 3 I believe which got a special treatment to get it to work.
First of all, well done, Sega, and thank you for cooperating with Microsoft so much these days. Love you!
Secondly, boo! Boo! Why didn't you submit Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing? It's Sonic, it's not James Bond. Because everybody thinks of the sequel, I have that on Wii U and Xbox 360 but the original game looks awful on Wii and the 360 version is so much cleaner. I don't really get why Sega hasn't made it available. Last but not least, the 360 version is the only one that features Banjo and Kazooie!
It's sad that I completed my Gears of War complete playthrough recently LOL. I have also beaten Assassin's Creed before the Xbox One X and the FPS Boost enhancements and it played great on Xbox One, now it must be excellent. I recommend that game to everybody that hasn't played it yet. The other Assassin's Creed games should get the FPS Boost as well. If i remember correctly, IV Black Flag, Syndicate and Origins still haven't received the boost.
Good for Kameo, it will play much better with the boost. I wonder why Dead Space 1, Fable II, Darksiders II and III and Final Fantasy XIII were omitted but unlike the backwards compatibility list, this list is not the last one. I'm already looking forward to the next FPS Boost announcement!
@IronMan30 @Bmartin001 The most technically ambitious games run so-so on 360 but run better on Xbox One. When they released the first backwards compatible games, the Rare Replay games, some of them run slightly worse than on original hardware (Digital Foundry made a video) but with each update the "emulation" (not really emulation but native play with different data input) improved until games played better than on the original hardware. Notable examples were Halo Reach and Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts.
UNLEAAHED 60FPS HOLY DAMN ***** LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
@SegaBlueSky you should do.
As someone who skipped the entire PS4/Xbox One generation, and has been playing games on PC/Switch, I recently got a Series X and absolutely love it.
Brilliant home console. Has the horsepower of a very powerful PC, with all the convenience of a console. Gamepass is great, it's whisper quiet, and quick resume is a god send, and very unique. The games look amazing even on a 1080p plasma, due to supersampling. Especially Forza Horizon 4 and 5.
Regarding this list, it's amazing too. I have the Fable and Fallout games installed, and even Dragon Age, but have held off playing them in case they miraculously added FPS Boost to 360 games.
Lo and behold, a few weeks later they actually did
