It's that time already - another two titles have been added into Xbox Game Pass. This time around, both seem to be based on strategic thinking, with The Riftbreaker and Ring of Pain offering intense experiences.
Here are the new games you can download with Xbox Game Pass today:
The Riftbreaker: Xbox Series X|S, PC, Cloud
The Riftbreakerâ„¢ is a base-building, survival game with Action-RPG elements. You are an elite scientist/commando inside an advanced Mecha-Suit capable of dimensional rift travel. Hack & slash countless enemies. Build up your base, collect samples and research new inventions to survive.
Ring Of Pain: Console, PC, Cloud
Delve into randomly generated ring dungeons where encounters come to you!
Observe and plan your route. Will you go for the loot or backstab a creeping horror? As you scavenge, fight and sneak to new encounters, the ring reacts to your actions.

The Ring of pain launch trailer demonstrates one of my pet peeves: Showing no gameplay!
@themightyant It'd be kind of fine if it was an early trailer or something, but that is definitely pretty bad when it's a launch trailer. Even worse when it's a game that came out a year ago already on PC. It's not my kind of game anyways (rougelike), but it got decent reviews on the PC a year ago.
Somewhat interested in The Riftbreaker though. No reviews to go by yet for that, but if it turns out to be solid, I'll likely give it a shot at some point. My gaming schedule is pretty full for the foreseeable future.
@KilloWertz Agreed. It's the fact it's the launch trailer that's the problem.
Though I do have a little sympathy for them to be honest. I googled the gameplay and it looked like a load of menus and options screens for 12 minutes as I scrubbed through waiting for the gameplay. Then I realised it was a roguelike card battle game! Difficult to sell that effectively in a trailer, this probably has a better chance of getting people to try it to be honest.
It's the other end of the scale to my other pet peeve with trailers: when you get a beautifully rendered 3D vista and sweeping cinematics that get you all excited wondering "what is this game?" and then you briefly see a bit of dire mobile gameplay that looks NOTHING like what you saw before.
Both should be banned 🤣
So Ring of Pain is a card-based turn-based RPG? Or even a card game? Meh, I'll skip these two.
No matter, however, still enjoying Back 4 Blood and the hilarious Procession to Cavalry.
