Again, yet more details of the upcoming GTA Trilogy have reportedly leaked, this time giving us some juicy bits of information about the game's enhancements.
As reported by Rockstar Intel, a user on the GTA Forums - who has accurately leaked information in the past - shared details from a since-removed support page.
Here, the full list of enhancements is said to have been revealed, which includes "brilliant new lighting and environmental upgrades, high-resolution textures, increased draw distances", but most interestingly, "Grand Theft Auto V-style controls and targeting".
"Three iconic cities, three epic stories. Play the genre-defining classics of the original Grand Theft Auto Trilogy: Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas updated for a new generation, now with across-the-board enhancements including brilliant new lighting and environmental upgrades, high-resolution textures, increased draw distances, Grand Theft Auto V-style controls and targeting, and much more, bringing these beloved worlds to life with all new levels of detail."
This information sounds pretty in line with the original report that surfaced earlier this year. At the time, Kotaku claimed the titles will be using Unreal Engine and will be a mix of "new and old graphics".
While this information hasn't been confirmed by Rockstar as of yet, it seems highly likely considering the link to the support page has been removed. With the anniversary of Grand Theft Auto III coming on October 22, we expect to hear more then.

70 quid for ps2 games with virtually no change? Rockstar can go f themselves.
I won't stretch to more than £40 ...which I think is very reasonable of me given we all know it's a basic remaster of 3 PS2 games you could get for like 50p each....
I don't expect them to be reasonable though
@MyThoughts31 I feel like you haven't read the article or even the headline. At this point, the public hasn't seen games running, so perhaps we should all wait and see before we start with the profanities?
This all sounds great to me and I shall be pre-ordering it as soon as it’s available on the Microsoft Store whatever the price. I really think this is going to release next Friday, the 20th anniversary of GTA III, seeing as Rockstar has already removed all three games from every digital store. I can’t wait to play these timeless classics on my Series X.
The improvements sound fine. Now it will just be a case of snagging it for an appropriate price.
I loved the original games but I had them on the original Xbox and they were already far superior versions compared to the PS2. I'm quite hopeful that these will turn out well and I'll definitely pick them up at some point.
Alright, my sentiments are if they just happen to port over the San Andreas that was released on the 360 and android, etc, and the equivalent for the other two, I see no reason to buy this. "Improved light and textures" are of little to no improvements. If it was along the lines of the alan wake remaster, I would be interested.
I don't even remember how the controls differ from GTA 3 to GTA V. Did GTA V get rid of the auto aim button?
@MyThoughts31 Dude, zero footage has been released. Stop jumping to conclusions.
Modern controls might make a huge difference and I would want to give them a shot, but likely not at launch price. I will likely buy it on a sale someday.
Gta V controls you say... So ***** controls then.
“New lighting and improved textures”
That’s a pretty wide remit somewhere between the awful Batman: Return to Arkham and the sublime Shadow of the Colossus.
The main improvement I want from any GTA game is improved controls. The entire (3D) series has felt clunky AF.
The mention of the remasters controlling like GTA V are the most off-putting part of the comments. I find it crazy that they think that GTA V is a great bastian of how a game should control. 🤣🤦🏻♂️
I suppose the sales tell them that? I think it's sold well in spite of the controls.
Another who is passively interested in this but only in a decent sale, but then its Rockstar so they'll still be selling this at near launch price for years to come
I’ve already played through these a couple of times. If the upgrade is significant I will pick them up when they inevitably go on sale.
@MyThoughts31 I know right?! For that price we should be getting 3 complete Bluepoint-style remakes.
@Nightcrawler71 improved textures means basically just what Mafia 2 remaster was. Ie absymal. But at least that wasn't 70 quid. Rockstar are money grabbing bankers with a w.
@EVIL-C doesn't need to be, the lack of information means they are cash cow grabs plain and simple. Bit like Mafia 2 was.
@TimG13 Rockstar who milk the same game for 10 years are now milking 20 year old games with slightly different graphics but exactly the same game but expect people to pay 70 quid for the privilege. Profanities are entirely valid.
@MyThoughts31 I'll reserve judgement for now.
@MyThoughts31 I'm not wanting to start an argument here, but I find your views, and those of many others regarding Rockstar, to be completely unfounded. I think you, and many others I might add, are confusing the fact that Rockstar have simply been supporting GTA Online with numerous updates since release with the misconception that Rockstar have been milking GTA V. Think about it, if Rockstar and their evil overlords at Take Two were really milking it, they wouldn't have pumped out so many free updates over the years (seriously, go and take a look at how many - if anything it's commendable) and would have already released numerous simple remasters of games from Rockstar's back catalogue.
As for your claims of "slightly different graphics", this story is discussing the possibility of how many aspects of the games have been upgraded. New lighting, improved textures, reworked controls - I wouldn't say this is a lazy cash grab. Of course, right now we haven't seen the games in action, so this report could be completely false. My point is, without seeing the games running, and considering the content of the article, your original comment seemed misguided and ill-informed, likewise, with no confirmed price point, your claim that it'll cost £70. We should all wait until we have the cold hard facts before we start making wild accusations.
Oh, and this is entirely my opinion, but no profanities are valid on videogame website comment sections, or indeed any comment sections.
I guess the whole backlash against Rockstar stems from the fact they haven't yet produced the game people want them to, and have instead focussed on expanding GTA Online. Yes, they've made a shedload of money from it, but at the end of the day they are a business, and an extremely generous one at that, I have to say, when you consider the quality of their games and sheer amount of content they provide. So who are we to tell them how to run their business, what games they should be making, and how much they should charge for them?
@MaccaMUFC Leicester City......
@TimG13 nah they are games that can be had for all 3 for 20$ and i highly doubt its going to even look like gta5 as far as quality goes....so for me its a buy but either used at 20$ down the line or new for 30$ but no more then that....
