Hades and Art of Rally for me. Another great week for GamePass!
Hades!!! Hades!!! Hades!!!
@SplooshDmg Why Grid? I haven't heard anything about it.
Already beat Hades on Switch. Excellent game! I'll def be trying Art of Rally and prob check out the GRID remake since i loved the OG GRID.
@awp69
This! Oh, and to all those talking about GRID- don't bother with it. A huge disappointment. Especially if you remember the fabulous Race Driver: Grid.
@gollumb82 GRID for 360 was excellent. Are you saying the remaster of that was poorly done?
@SplooshDmg Yup same. Wanted to try for nostalgia's sake on Game Pass.
@SplooshDmg You mean the remake (this 2019 one) is pretty bleh? The original 360 game was highly regarded in it's time.
@Trmn8r
I've got GRID Ultimate Edition on PS4/5. Played it for 2-3 hours. The fantastic career mode from OG Grid is nowhere to be found. Instead you get a series of random races in a given class, with lame commentators, irrelevant teammates, mediocre soundtrack (remember the menu theme, or Burnbaby Reloaded from the original?) and you get the picture. The driving is fine for the most part. As usual with Codies, the cars sound great. The graphics are ok,but the framerate dips in rainy weather are a thing. You may try it since it'll be on Game Pass soon, but it's a far cry from OG Grid. Hopefully Grid Legends does this series justice.
@gollumb82 Why on earth would they take out the career mode?!?! Sad... Might try Dirt Rally 2.0 as well. Heard that was solid.
@Trmn8r
I know, right? It's the same with Dice- they still don't know what made Bad Company 2 such a great game...
As for Dirt Rally 2.0, that's a whole different story. It's the best damn rally game ever. Especially with all DLC rallies and cars. I've sunk about 200-250 hours into it on PC, PS4 and Xbox (yes, I triple dipped on this one, it's that good). A word of warning, though. It can be unforgiving and frustrating sometimes (it's close to a sim, afterall) and the AI difficulty in career mode once you get past Clubman level can be frustrating (I mean their sudden improvement in times per stage). Still, I highly recommend it. Even if you just want to do what I do now- just take a random car for a spin on a few stages of a given rally for fun.
Edit: DR 2.0 is absolutely playable with a controller. The wheel gives you more immersion, but I found it also makes the game more challenging (especially with a force feedback wheel- I was tired after a stage 🙂).
Dirt Rally 2.0 is an essential game if you've not played it. Difficult but really rewarding. Personally loved Grid as well. It's certainly a bit bare bones but the actual racing feels amazing. Especially the open wheel races, they're so much fun. Both games still hold up graphically too, super smooth.
@SplooshDmg
G920 is a great wheel I had a Thrustmaster T150RS a while back, but had to sell it because I struggled with it. Guess I'm a filthy casual when it comes to racing haha.
Hades should be really good, Great addition to gamepass..
Hades, Dirt 2.0 and Art of Rally. The whole list is awesome, as being Scottish I'm into rally racing by default 🤣
Hades may not be my cup of tea, but with so much hype, I can't skip it right? Also want to play Art of Rally.
I want to play Hades but still not done with Curse of the Dead Gods. Thought I would have had my fill by now but it's so good, the daily challenges are cool too.
