Mass Effect Legendary Edition Sales Performance Was Well Above Expectations

If you were worried that Mass Effect may have had its time in the sun, then fear not. The latest earnings report from EA confirms that the recently released Mass Effect Legendary Edition performed "well above [their] expectations".

The last quarter is said to have delivered a "big beat", with both Mass Effect Legendary Edition and It Takes Two being the driving force for the impressive results. EA claimed there is an enduring power to "the franchisees and IP[s]" it is building - Mass Effect being one of them.

"There is enduring power to the franchisees and IP that we are building. The launch of Mass Effect Legendary Edition, the remaster of the first three Mass Effect games, reignited the passion of fans around the world, driving sales performance well above our expectations."

Mass Effect joins Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order as two franchises which EA has confirmed it will continue investing in. The reception to Mass Effect Legendary Edition was extremely positive, with both returning fans and newcomers embracing the game and it's legacy.

A new entry is in the works at BioWare, and if the next instalment is just as impactful, we expect the series will be sticking around for some time.
