Biomutant is right around the corner, landing on Xbox One on May 25, and to promote its release, THQ Nordic have released videos of the game running across multiple Xbox consoles. Both the base Xbox One and the superior Xbox One x are both seen running raw footage of the game.
The most notable difference between the two is the increased framerate on Xbox One X. Both versions bolster the same resolution, so there's no loss there. This is something that will also translate across to Xbox Series X|S players. While there's no native next-gen version, it's said to run better and the developer has hinted it could be something arriving in the future.

Previews of the game dropped earlier this month which also delivered 12 minutes of stunning 4K footage. No matter what the final product is like, there's no denying it's a stunner - even on the base Xbox One. If you've got a TV that supports HDR, no doubt this is going to be a visual show piece.

A positive step, learning from CD Projekt's recent disaster.
Thank you and well done. Let us hope that other developers and publishers will start doing the same.
The more I see of the more I can't wait too play it.
no next gen version is kinda wack for a release 6 months into 2021
Hm, but will it have a 4K mode?
Unless their reconstruction tech is amazing, I am scared of how bad it will look, running at a DYNAMIC 1080p on a 4K screen.
I chose the Xbox version over PlayStation because it might end up having a higher resolution
The 4K video might as well be from a PC.
Even though this game is day one for me, can’t deny I’m a little disappointed there’s no native Series X/S version, especially when there’s a top-end PC version coming out. Nevertheless, this looks like great fun. Just a week to go!
With how easy it is to make a game Series 'aware' there's no excuse for not doing it really. I don't expect every game to have a native version, budgets, time, familiarity with new hardware etc, but back compat with awareness should be happening on all new XB1 games now.
If they did it with this game I would assume that we'd get a 4K/60 XSX and a 1080 or 1440/60 XSS.
Maybe they will do if after launch.
This game looks fun, but some of the surfaces look a little flat.. For example during the fight sequence the floor textures. I know this is nit picking, but I was expecting it to look better.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that if they do a X|S version it'll be more than a simple resolution boost.
