On the fence about the upcoming Scarlet Nexus? Then don't worry - a free demo is now available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S for all players to try and get a feel of the game ahead of its June 25 launch.
In the demo you'll be able to play as one of two characters, Yuito Sumeragi or Kasane Randall, and engage in the spectacle of action we've seen in gameplay videos up until this point. Those who dive in also will be rewarded with some items for the full game. The "FSA Standard Pack (black) and Plug-in "Power Increase: Mk II" is available for playing with Kasane, whereas the "Rabbit Ears" Hat (white) and Plug-in Force Field: Mk II" for playing with Yuito.
- What's included in the demo version?
Play as either one of the two main characters, Yuito Sumeragi or Kasane Randall. Includes action-packed gameplay using psychokinesis powers, assistance from varied allies, and numerous cutscenes.
You can download the demo now via the Microsoft Store and get your first taste of Scarlet Nexus yourself. We managed to dive in already and found the combat to be both fluid and exhilarating. We're pretty excited for the full release, as we think this has the potential to be a sleeper hit this Summer.

Downloading now.
This game is looking fantastic so I can't wait to try it out 😊
Glad that they dropped the demo. Because, I was to some extent skeptical about getting the game . I hope the demo proves me wrong.
This isn't a timed limited time demo is it? Like they're going to remove it from being playable after, say, a week.
I wanna check this out, but I really want to finish Mass Effect 1 before I play something else. Working my first insanity run. Level 20. I just finished every side mission and the DLC before Noveria/Virmire last night. So it is mostly just story and the occasional side mission now.
@SegataSanshiro That's a very well written and good criticism of the game. Nice to see people dislike something and not look like a child doing it.
Downloading it now. This is one of my most anticipated games, so I can’t wait to give it a try.
Do demos always sit in your library on Xbox, or can you hide them?
Can’t wait to try it out.
@SegataSanshiro I'm super excited to check out 2 and 3 just because of the higher quality assets they had to begin with. Right now I'm replicating my first character's playthrough. Then after that I'll burn through them on easy for the other bits of story I missed.
@SegataSanshiro Yes! Been playing through on 120hz as well. It is a dream how buttery smooth it all is. I know it is a remaster, but man I'll be happy with more remasters if they give me 120hz support.
@SegataSanshiro Fantastic I was able to get one last black Friday for $500. Only caveat is you only have Dolby Vision if you use Hardware Forum VRR. I use AMD Freesync Premium since I prefer that over VRR(which is essential Freesync 1.0). HDR10 still works though so I'm not really missing much IMO.
If you haven't, and are a fan, check out Master Chief Collection. 120fps goodness for all 6 games in it. As well as a FOV slider. Absolutely fantastic experience and really shows off Halo how it is meant to be seen.
The only issue with it is that Halo CE uses the PC version as a base. The PC version was actually inferior as it has less graphic effects and some wonky aiming. Aside from that it is near flawless.

This game is hot garbage! It's so awful i wouldn't buy this crap even if they paid me to!
How did i do? XD
Played the Demo as Kasane, now I'll play Yuito. I liked it. I'll try to get it day one.
@everynowandben you can hide them. press the xbox button to bring up the side bar go to my games and apps select see all, click full library then all owned games find the game then press the menu button on your controller the three lines one and hide from list should be available you will see it under the games tab until you uninstall it but after that it should be hidden
@VisitingComet1 Thank you! I appreciate the response!
Great demo. Probably get this day one. Good JRPG. Music slaps, camera is a little janky, art design is stylized, enough customization armor and cosmetics and the combat is fun.
@InterceptorAlpha Most of the visual PC jank in Halo has been fixed with the latest patch, Jackal shields now react to being shot correctly for example, bump and mip mapping effects are improved, and Captain Keyes no longer uses his beta model, which looked like a potato.
