We're only a few weeks away from Biomutant, so understandably, we're beginning to learn more. Today has seen a mass amount of previews hit the internet, giving us our most in-depth look at the game thus far.
One of the most notable previews comes from Game Informer, which has dropped 12 minutes of gorgeous 4K gameplay that looks just as incredible as the trailers have previously made out. The world of Biomutant looks like an absolute blast to explore, and the gameplay video looks at a wide range of activities, character customisation, and elements players will be engaging with over the campaign.
Set across seven biomes, the gameplay will change drastically in each environment. Instead of just a simple visual change, the landscape is said to have effects on the player such as radiation, which can cause your character to puke unless combated. Each of these biomes also contains a wide range of activities, such as dungeons and towns to visit, giving each land a distinct personality.
But one of the main showpieces is the combat, which is as Game Informer describes, a blend of various games such as Ratchet & Clank and Max Payne. There's a crazy amount of inventiveness when it comes to the weapons, which riff off many of Insomniac Games' past titles, but one of the coolest features is the use of bullet time, allowing the player to slow down time to get in some devastating attacks. It looks really impressive and seems to have a lot of variety.
Our sister site Push Square has also done a lovely preview of the game. They've compared it to games such as Immortals Fenyx Rising, but added that it "feels like much more than the Ubisoft open-world formula". In such a busy month with Resident Evil Village and Mass Effect Legendary Edition, it's shaping up to be a surprise hit that could fly under the radar. We'll know for sure when the game releases for Xbox One on May 25.

Well this has persuaded me to preorder. I guess it still could be a bust, but here's hoping!!
Have it pre ordered but that narrator gets annoying very quickly , it looks nice but the world also looks so empty and lifeless
@Xenomorph_79 I have some Microsoft reward points burning a hole in my pocket but need to see a few reviews of this first.
Looks surprisingly great! May belongs to Mass Effect for me but def want to check this out in the future. Hopefully the comic style exclamations can be toggled off.
This game looks really good..
Really looking forward to this. With the amount of gameplay videos that have dropped recently the devs must be pretty happy with their game. So the game is 4K, but does it run at 60fps on Series X/S? I hope so, that would seal the deal for me.
I am tempted to pre-order this but what a tough month to release in refight after mass effect.
Looking good but locking a class as a pre-order bonus? I'm not a fan of these practices at all.
