Today's Sonic Central 30th anniversary stream concluded with a very sneak peak at an upcoming Sonic game set to arrive on Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S in 2022, but very little is known about it thus far.
As you can see in the trailer above, Sonic is shown speeding around a wooded area amidst the Sonic Team logo flashing on the screen, which means the Sonic Forces developer is back in the hotseat for the next entry.
That's about all we know for now, but we'll keep you up to date as more details are revealed in the future!
Looking forward to a new mainline Sonic game in 2022? Let us know down in the comments below.

Announcement of this, remaster of Sonic Colors, along with Sonic Origins Compilations released on Xbox day one made me really, really pleased. Thank you, SEGA!
More SEGA games coming to Xbox simultaneously with other platforms (including sequel of Judgement) means that Persona and others are BOUND TO HAPPEN .... someday.
I think that they have learnt from their mistakes, I hope. It could be a great game.
