We're so close to NieR Replicant we can almost taste it, but that hasn't stopped Square Enix from dropping new details, the latest of which showcases some of the new content coming to the game.
While it could have easily just been a simple remaster of the original game, the team has gone above and beyond to not only modernise the game to feel more attune to NieR:Automata, but also bring in new content for players. The latest trailer takes a dive into what everyone can expect to find on top of the remade experience.
The biggest new inclusion is a new dungeon known as 15 Nightmares, which seemingly looks to have you prove yourself in some tough combat encounters. There's also a new story episode titled Mermaid, but little has been mentioned about it so far. Finally, there are some Samurai and Kabuki outfits, along with a ton of NieR:Automata gear.
It's unclear whether this will be included in the game on day one, or whether this will be part of the free DLC that was previously confirmed to be coming. The NieR:Automata costumes have appeared on the Microsoft Store, so it looks as though it's going to be additional content. Only a few more days till we find out for sure.
Will you be picking up NieR:Automata this week? Let us know in the comments below.

Also, I'm very fond of additional content, but I hope it's already included. I don't want to have to buy a 'Complete Edition' down the road.
All I want is to be able to replay the fantastic, original, dad Nier story. I'm very disappointed they went with the made-for-Japan-only for the remake where you play as the brother.
@InterceptorAlpha it’s supposed to have something in it for “Daddy Nier”. There is some speculation that one of the playthroughs will allow it. I’d suggest keeping and eye out for it. Could only be a tiny cameo or could be a big story element who knows.
@mousieone Unfortunately all we get is this: https://twinfinite.net/2021/04/nier-replicant-play-as-father-answered/
So it'll be a hard pass for me. Which is sad as I loved Nier. Blows me away that they remade the second version that was made because dad Nier would sell bad in Japan.
